No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
Not sure why Mercedes didn’t take the free pit stop that red bull gifted them
Re: No F1 thread?
Has he become worse?
I didn't find him so shouty years ago when he was on normal telly with Brundle, before it went to Sky. Watched the official F1 Youtube summary of yesterdays qualifying and his shouting did seem very OTT.

It must have been for a bet. He said something earlier about hard and long.
Race certainly took a turn!

Re: No F1 thread?
He never worked on normal telly (for F1). It was Brundle and DC until it went to Sky and then C4 had DC and Edwards
Re: No F1 thread?
Anyone know what laptime Hamilton did on his final lap with 3 tyres? Reckon it was still faster than a GT3 car
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
Missed the live race, but the highlights were good!
Going to be tough for Bottas to catch Hamilton now.

Ahh yes, I was thinking of when he was with R5 Live.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 7:44 pmHe never worked on normal telly (for F1). It was Brundle and DC until it went to Sky and then C4 had DC and Edwards

Re: No F1 thread?
We were running about today, so I only caught a few laps of the F1 (plus The end of the BTCC support 911 Cup race, and a couple of the MINI races - didn’t catch a single lap of BTCC!).
Grosjean was a liability though. Two very close swerves. Not good.

The opening lap was unbearable. He's a buffoon and I can't believe Sky still have him on.Marv wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 8:02 pmAhh yes, I was thinking of when he was with R5 Live.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Sun Aug 02, 2020 7:44 pmHe never worked on normal telly (for F1). FP1 and FP2 have been cancelled at Imola for "logistics reasons". FP3 on Saturday has been extended from 60 to 90 minutes.

Should make the race interesting, especially if anyone has an off.Jimmy Choo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 11:22 am FP1 and FP2 have been cancelled at Imola for "logistics reasons". FP3 on Saturday has been extended from 60 to 90 minutes.

Strange it only just been officially announced. When they initially added it a few weeks ago it was only over 2 days.

FIA have upheld Renaults complaint about the Racing Point. RP fined €400k and docked 15pts
Re: No F1 thread?
Got a link? So they are saying RP have used the actual Merc design (and tooling?) to create their current brake ducts?

Not read the full thing yet, so not sure on what grounds they've ruled - I've seen one section where they acknowledge, however, that the team could have reverse engineered from photos with the same benefit but increased design costs.
