No F1 thread?

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
Why didn’t MS just let SO through? Going mega aggressive only really hurt himself.

I don’t think Michael Schumacher should’ve let Sebastian Ogier through.

Dunno how I managed that!

Max gives no quarter and everyone knows that he's the most aggressive driver in the field. I blame Max fully. Moving into Ocon when he was alongside was stupid in terms of the race but in terms of his career, probably better.Rich B wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 6:55 amOops - MV/EONotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 6:45 amI don’t think Michael Schumacher should’ve let Sebastian Ogier through.

Surprised that he didn’t have a voice in his ear telling him not to get tangled up in Ocons race either.
Re: No F1 thread?
The closing speed for his overtake looked hilarious on the on-board video. Ocon was so much faster.
Max was stoopid not to just let him go.

Re: No F1 thread?
When I initially saw it on TV, it didn't show the lead up to the incident, so I'd assumed Max had caught Ocon up, passed him into turn 1 and Ocon was fighting back. Having seen the full thing, Max was definitely stupid. He should've definitely let him go as quickly as possible. Anything else was always going to cost him time, he could've just waved him by, and picked up DRS and the slipstream.

Great race, loving the Renault duel in there. The great thing about that race was that you had three evenly matched teams in close proximity fighting for the win. Hopefully bodes well for next season.

They keep banging on about how he'll be world champion one day - no chance imo. He'll throw it away if he ever gets close.

He reminds me of Lewis in his early days. He just needs to calm down a little bit and think a bit more. If he can crack that, he'll do it.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 11:46 amEFA & Brevity

Compared to the start of the season Max is far more mature. If he makes that mistake again I will be surprised as he really has been impressive with decision making and speed the second half of the season. I would love to see a 3 or more way fight next season with Max right in it.

Re: No F1 thread?
I don't think he will change. I think there's quite a difference between him and the young Hamilton - Hamilton was still open to learning but keen to win at all costs - MV seems to believe he is genuinely the second coming and can do no wrong. This is his 4th full season in F1 so the rookie excuses no longer apply imo. I suspect/hope that the leeway he's been afforded to date will run out next yearNotoriousREV wrote: ↑Mon Nov 12, 2018 11:53 amHe reminds me of Lewis in his early days. Re: No F1 thread?
I think age is a part of it. Max has been in F1 for a few years but he's still younger than Lewis was in his first season, he's immature.
Lewis has only really grown up over the last couple of years, I never warmed to him before as I thought he was a very entitled and petulant driver.

Nah, I don't buy it. In the first 1-2 seasons he did some things that screamed rookie/immature. This season in particular he's done some things quite clearly deliberately and cvnty.
Re: No F1 thread?
Hes a very fast driver who’s probably never had to give in to anything or anything, he’s driven to become the best and to him that always means the fastest, the very concept of letting someone past is lost on him.
Hamilton’s thoughts on (and actual telling Max) the matter have put him even higher in my estimation.
