Seconded......... motion carried.

I guess it wasn’t the intended outcome, but it does seem to put us at rather a disadvantage!

Yeah, sorry, that was just shocking refereeing. I'm not having that Wales deserved to win that. It's easy to talk about penalties and points in the second half, two tries in the first half shouldn't have counted, that changes the game. You're chasing the game from then, IMO England were the better team for the majority of the game. I'm sure Carlos won't agree.

England had periods when they were on top but they were few, I never felt Wales weren't going to win that.

The Zammit knock on is a 50:50 In my eyes and could have gone either way. The quick penalty is fair game and England do it a lot, so what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I don't know if you get the same commentary as Wales but I commented earlier in the thread about England looking not match fit and ready. The Wales no.4 Adam Beard has played more minutes this season than the entire starting England Pack combined.

Itoje should have had a yellow card for sheer number of penalties and England's lack of discipline was the biggest factor in my eyes.

Nah I'm.not having that Duncs. Yes the quick play shouldn't have happened imo - the ref fvcked up there. But England got back into the game and back level and then threw it away.

It had all the signs right from the off - Itoje is one of those players where his disruption either comes off (which it does most of the time - one of the best players of any team atm for me) or it really doesn't. Sadly today was the latter.

Split loyalties from me - obvs always want to see Eng beat Wales and wind the wife up, but after the last round I did put money on Wales to win the tournament...

Says the Welshman through leek coloured specs...

Was the least ‘fair game’ of any decision I’ve seen on a rugby pitch in 40 odd years. Worse than allowing a team take a quick lineout with a new ball... ;)

England had assumed Wales were taking an easy 3 points regardless of the time on/off scenario and got caught with their pants down.

There's a referee, 2 assistants and a TMO, none of which are Welsh who agreed

They didn't even look at it. You can't say "go and talk to your team", wait until he gets them into a huddle and then let him take the penalty. I have never seen England benefit from such a thing!

There were too many cases of decisions going against England, decisions that you see week in week out contrary to what we saw in that game. From the start we saw it with him giving a penalty for Johnny May rolling over after the tackle, you see it ignored in every other game. The knock on, I can see the argument, but also given ninety nine times out of a hundred as a knock on. I'm usually fairly balanced in my view I think, but it was too much yesterday.

The refereeing has been poor in this Six Nations generally, I miss Nigel Owens.:(

Great game for the neutral here, too stressful for my liking!

England are playing ok, but we just don't look like we can contain France's attacking threat. I wouldn't want to be up by less than 8 at the end of this game because they look like they can score at any time.

Clive Woodward is a joker, before the game he said only two England players would get into the France team. Then afterwards he's going on about how this is a great England team.

France are a great side, but it's ridiculous to say only two would get in the France team.

Good game. Itoje was lucky to get that, it didn't look on the deck to me.

ETA - I take that back. The other angles show Itoje getting it down on the line.

I think he did ground it based on the angle/level of the ball, but I'm surprised they gave it because the on-field decision was no try and there was no conclusive footage of the grounding.

It looks like it grazed the line and then a French hand went under it lol

Jeez, that's made me realise that in all my nearly 40 years I've not done that much for charity as I don't have a charity I'm gunning for... let me think.
