That was a fucking big bang. (no gore or owt, just the docks shortly after)

Rumours abound of fireworks storage and a grain silo in the area, neither of which have a reputation for burning in a controlled manner.

Local news saying 10 dead, I reckon you can stick two 0’s on that.

Apparently confiscated explosive material was stored in that area.

Seen that also stated by a BBC foreign language correspondent.

Yeah, there’s a few different angles all the explosion, i guess because it was burning first and each are as incredibly scary as each other.
Cheers,

Genius storing explosive material in a major city. Then again that place is run by Hezbollah isn’t it...

The most amazing thing for me is seeing the debris rise off the ground - I thought that was just a Hollywood bollocks special effect!

Unbelievable destructive power to produce that sound level so far away. I knew it was coming but it still made me jump.

Friend's husband is Lebanese. He's from Beirut. Family is safe, they're still tracking down friends. Awful situation.

Similarly, I understand it was somewhere in the region of a 5 on the Richter scale, which is pretty fucking mind boggling.
