Hang on a minute

Post by mik »

I like Star Wars. How could you not?

I was never obsessive about it though.

However. How have I only today seen an image of ‘3PO that lead me to this reality? He has a wha?

yes, and he always has :?

So why was it gold on every C3PO toy ever made, eh? The official plastic figures from the 70s, the Lego version... I don't believe in conspiracy theories but it's plausible this isn't totally true.

I never knew that or noticed it, but I guess that’s because the toys were gold and back in the day you only saw a movie at the cinema and when it came on TV years later. Plus, its such a subtle thing that its difficult to notice depending on the scene in which he’s being shot - look at the pics on the link, there’s only one where its clearly SILVER, the others could be put down to reflections from the light, sand etc.

I’m surprised its taken the Star Wars nerds this long to pick up on it though.
Cheers,

Mike.

Maybe they filmed SW in the same studio as they did the moon landings, but the internet also seems to verify that Anthony Daniels has confirmed it. And not all toys were all-gold apparently.....

TIL, as they say.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Star Wars is for 5 year olds, and when I was 5 I was more interested in doing mad skids and jumps on my bmx than watching crappy sci-fi films.

So no, I never noticed.
