I had two packets of beef hula hoops before 10:30am. Working from home is sending me feral.

I think it’s good that you’ve managed to cut back on your normal
intake.

I’ve managed to get all the way to now on only two glasses of MD20/20. (Luckily we have a stein at home).

i guess I was lucky to sell when I did. The used car market should have plenty of bargains soon as people unload their motors to free up cash.

No.1 son is chuffed to bits as he's just been offered an unconditional place at his first choice of university without having to get his arse into gear and sit any exams. Not a bad result as he'd only just started to study and his mock results were a bit shit.

That might backfire in the future, A levels are a step up from GCSE’s and it’s another jump at uni. I wouldn’t want to go GCSE exams to uni exams without learning how much extra effort is needed before it’s too late!

I took a £1,800 hit on the part-ex price of my M2 the day of collection of my new car.

ETA - I was a bit pissed about it but can't see them making a profit on it though.

Well the lad was on course for Bs in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and he'd done his mocks. He could've done better but I hardly think the workload at uni is going to cause him unassailable problems and from my perspective anything that lowers his anxiety level right now is WHOLLY GOOD NEWS

...but thanks for trying to put a negative spin on it. In this instance I will refrain from referring to you as a cunt, Sir.

I can however reassure you that it's merely due to the somewhat discommodious circumstances we're all currently faced with.

Furthermore, I feel honour bound to advise that you, along with those prone to exposure to (current govt. approved contact only of course) you, WILL benefit from any joie de vivre you can muster at this juncture. Authenticity is desirable but please feel at liberty to employ any means in your possession in order to deflect subsequent micturitions from my nice warm chips.

I bid you a congenial day.

you cunt ;)

My company, house removals, is going through a proper surge at the moment. Books are almost full now right through to the end of April and 3-4 new bookings are coming through every day which is typical for this time of year. Nobody has yet cancelled and everyone we move is very grateful to see that the service is continuing. I can’t see our sort of work being barred under lockdown conditions either. As long as staff don’t get sick it looks like we’re business as usual.

Only downside is it’s definitely more difficult than normal to extract money out of people after their move is completed, I think there’s a general sense of being worried about cashflow in the coming months.

Does anyone here, self employed or otherwise, have any experience of experimenting with customers pre-paying rather than paying after the service is completed? I’ve always worked on the principle that you complete the work first before asking for any money, but I’m thinking that might have to change under current conditions.

I pre-paid for our removals both times, I didn't really question it to be honest.
