Coronavirus
Re: Coronavirus
There aren't any coffee shops round round here with "Coffee Gardens" so you can grab a takeaway and then head to the park - where there's never any benches because everyone else.
I've met up with an old work mate a few times over Lockdown with the intention of sitting in the park for a catch-up but have just ended up walking round. This isn't the end of the world but next time, we'll probably head to a pub somewhere and sit in the beer garden.
I haven't been in a pub here since Paddies day, 2018

Re: Coronavirus
I was thinking this yesterday. When even big brands are making adverts about looking forward to hitting the pub again you have to wonder if we're okKiwiDave wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 6:02 am
Last time I came back to the UK (2013) the bit that surprised me was obesity was more obvious in Britain than in Texas where I went straight after. Now, I'm seeing peeps on my Facebook from back home acting like their brains are gonna explode if they can't get a pint of wifebeater in a beer garden soon.
As a certified craft beer wanker, I like the odd shandy myself, but FFS it's just a pub
An absolute unit
Re: Coronavirus
I've my second jab next week. Haven't felt the need to run to the pub, but I'd sooner get my haircut out of the way on thursday so I no longer resemble a fucking gonk before going out in public :p
Re: Coronavirus
Just spotted the over 45s thing - cheers for posting Dinny.
Booked my first and second jabs. Gloucestershire seems very thinly spread for getting the vaccine; I have to go to Malvern for my first and Redditch for my second (stupidly the site wouldn't let me book the second jab in Malvern as well - I went for the closest place each time). 18 miles for the 1st, 36 miles for the second
Re: Coronavirus
I have to go to random Pharmacy in Northampton
Still, glad it’s booked

Re: Coronavirus
I take it you don't even live in Northants... funny how some counties are so much better served than others.
Re: Coronavirus
I could book the first one in my home town in North Yorkshire, the only place I could get the second one was Essex! Booked both for the next town along.Jobbo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 1:59 pmJust spotted the over 45s thing - cheers for posting Dinny.

Re: Coronavirus
Nope - Newport Pagnell at the moment. Northampton, Bedford or Luton were my only choices for the first jab.

I'm in no rush - happy to just wait for the text from my GP. That would mean I'd only need to walk as well

Re: Coronavirus
Does booking it yourself mean you book both first and second jabs at the same time? I got a text from my GP so have had my first one, whereupon my second date was given to me. Wife hasn't had the text yet so is waiting, or could book.Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 3:21 pm I'm in no rush - happy to just wait for the text from my GP. Re: Coronavirus
Hold up. Apparently the vaccine doesnt work, being locked in your home is the answer.
Fuck right off.
Fuck right off.
Re: Coronavirus
Just doesn't some time in London (on the train) Went via old Street Roundabout.
It was dead. I've never seen North London that quiet, not even at midnight. Very uncanny.

All the cool kids are in Soho during the nights
Shame some chap had a heart attack in the 5 Guys though, Police kicked everyone out.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Coronavirus
Funny how different things are in different areas. We (47 & 43) had ours three weeks ago but don't get the option of booked 2nd jab. Our doctors surgery will be in touch when it's time.
Awesome how fast they're getting through people.
Re: Coronavirus
My second jab was delayed by 2 weeks. Annoyingly now it's on Saturday at 12. Even more annoyingly some famous person is getting buried that day so they've moved the F1 Imola qualifying to 12 so it doesn't clash. Shit and balls.

Re: Coronavirus
I know I shouldn’t because it’s muck but I freakin’ love a 5 guys...
Lettuce, pickle, Jalapeños, ketchup and mustard. Double burger, hold the bacon.
I feel ashamed...
Re: Coronavirus
Dinny feels ashamed after having five guys down his throat shocker.
It's ok Dinny, it's the 21st century, you can be who you want to be <3
