At least people can get their cheap chicken again though. All we need is for spoons to reopen and the country will be back to normal.

Do you think it's perhaps time to realise Broccers is baiting us and stop getting so worked up. We know no sane minded person could share his views, it's just a bit of a laugh.
Re: Coronavirus
My Aunt passed away on Monday (not Covid thankfully, very long term effects of MS)
I will be watching the funeral via WebCam. Better than nothing but not near enough.
My mother, her sister, can’t go.
Really done with Covid now...

I'm sorry to hear that, dinny
Re: Coronavirus
I ended up having to do that for my grandad’s funeral as I’d come down with a cold and didn’t want to risk the travel. A weird experience.
Sorry for your loss.

Re: Coronavirus
Sorry to hear that Dinny. A couple of friends have experienced the same over the past weeks and they’ve found it difficult to deal with not being at the funeral so they’ve found other ways to help such as arranging a family get together later in the year.

Ah, that didn’t even occur to me. It’s just what my family say.
Apologies to Dinny for any offence given. I’ve changed my original comment.

Re: Coronavirus
Sorry to hear that Dinny. I'm wondering whether I'll have the same experience shortly. A family friend of 40+ years just passed away from lung cancer, 4 days before his 80th birthday. There was going to be a massive party this Sunday but that was cancelled anyway because of Covid. The doctors said 6 months ago that it was 50/50 whether he's make that. but a relief for all concerned.
Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Coronavirus
Thanks lads, that made me laugh...
By the way, “Sorry for your troubles” is pretty much the standard default Irish expression of sympathy...
Perfectly apt Zed...
