10 year challenge!
So, based on the “popular” Facebook post, let’s do the 10 year challenge. What was in your garage 10 years ago vs now?
Here’s mine:

Didn't own a car ten years ago, don't own a car now

Had the DC2, Fazer1000/Gilera Runner 200 in 2010
EP3 and Fazer 600/Tracer 900/Street TripleR/CBR600 (trackbike) in 2020.
A Skoda in the middle, and more bikes than I care to list right now.
Slightly amuses me that I started the decade with a Honda TypeR and see the new decade in with a Honda TypeR.

10 years ago I had the R26, now I've only got the Focus shit box, so I'm going downhill.

My start and finish points are in no way representative of the decade, I started with a new Navara and ended with a new Golf with 9 years of old M3s in the middle.
Re: 10 year challenge!
MX5 and E39 540i Touring to Grand Vitara and Volvo V90 Cross Country. Type of plaything is the obvious change.

Re: 10 year challenge!
The only one got rid of is the lancia which was still just about hanging on ten years ago, and the 1st compact which exists sort of.
Pretty sure the rest of the fleet was black metro, e30 m3, camper, mk2 golf.
Since then fleet has grown to include e36 m3 ( bought march 2010 ) metro 1.1, merc clk, mito, fiat 850 and e46 touring.
Cars bought in between were Rover brm, stripped of running gear and got rid of, and silver compact. Turned into a sportalike and actually sold for real cash monies.

Accord Type S and Passat estate TDI.
Now S60 D5 and um Bongo.
With far too many in between to count, mostly Swedish.

Started with an engine swapped and tuned MR2 and a Falcon.
Ended with an E39 and a Scenic.

Re: 10 year challenge!
Ten years ago I had a Boxster S and the missus had a 207 CC (diesel ). Now we have a Cayman GTS and an Up GTI. Two open cars to two tin tops, but I guess skin cancer focuses the mind.
Re: 10 year challenge!
2010 was Porsche 968 and a Suburu WRX Wagon (Blobeye)
2019 ended with a Mitsubishi Outlander and a BMW M2

I'm a long way out of the bike scene having not ridden a bike since 2006 but have fond memories of the TLS.
I'm sure things have moved on massively but no sports bike I had ridden (I rode dozens as I worked in a bike shop from 10-24) wheelied so easily. I always preferred twins to high revving fours. The TRX 850 was another nice bike to ride but noone bought them over a 600 four.

Then: Saab 9000, Toyota Celica, TVR Cerbera
Now: Merc ML350, Jag XJR, Clio 182, Westfield, TVR Cerbera, Ray GR17, hovercraft, boat
Pretty much had the Clio, Jag and TVR throughout the whole decade, although I think I'll be moving the Jag on some time soon...

I have a bit of a thing for the TRX850. I’d like one with updated suspension and some trick bits on it.Carlos wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 3:10 pm I'm a long way out of the bike scene having not ridden a bike since 2006 but have fond memories of the TLS.
