Well there you go then.
Shall we cancel the Bye Bye Boris thread now?

In a perverse way, I kind of want a majority conservative government, but be able to say I didn’t vote for it.

The last few years might as well have not had anyone in government as it was pretty much just bickering and point scoring rather than actually doing anything (good or bad).

I wonder, like Kinnock, just how many elections Corbyn will lose before he decides to step down.

One more I reckon.

I am going out now. I may be some time.
It’s a cross-broadcaster exit poll, so they’re all discussing the same prediction.

However, the methodology for exit polls has been pretty robust since 2005, and the accuracy is supposed to be within 5-15 seats (the actual results have been much closer since 2005). Even taking 15 seats off makes it look solidly Tory. That’s a big majority if it happens.

ETA: I perversely agree with Rich, despite my dislike of Boris and what the Conservative Party has become.

It's a large enough predicted majority that is be a shock if it was anything other than a pretty useful conservative majority, based on previous exit polls.

That in itself is surprising to me, but I guess we get the government we deserve, etc.

We get the government the people want, same as they wanted to leave Europe. Looks like we're in the minority for wanting a better Britain rather than a 1950's Britain
Cheers.

I remember 2015 when the exist poll said 'minority Conservative Government', only to see election night through and for them then to get a working majority. Incredible.

Very much this. Even with a reasonable % +/- inaccuracy it'd still be a big win. I'm still sceptical of exit polls though.

At least the Tories won’t be able to blame anyone else when things turn to shit. Hopefully Corbyn will be gone.

Because they couldn't run themselves to actually vote Tory but there's no way on earth they would want to see Corbyn and abbot in charge of the country.

Well, that's my reasoning for not bothering to vote but being ok with the result.

Fair enough, a vote for any party but the top two is a vote wasted anyway.
How about not having a sig at all?
