I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't all that greasy out - tried to provoke the DANGEROUS REAR WHEEL DRIVE car a bit (just a bit - I'm not a fucking moron), but the Yokos seem to be pretty sticky, even in near zero slushy conditions.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

honestly, kinda true. I expect a 330d would have spun up the rears no problem when the turbots kicked in.

Still, as a winter hack, the 330ci is pretty tame. :)

It is currently snowing but it is the lightest of snow and what is lying is not amounting to much. High ground near us has a covering though.

We had a light frost on the cars, that's about as wintery as it got.

I've been out into the Peaks today on the mountain bike, no snow but thick fog and extremely cold. The bike and the front of me had a nice coating of ice and at one point the dropper was frozen.

I was impressed with the Sottozeros on my Merc yesterday. The snow was melting by lunchtime but I had to go out early while it was still fairly fresh, and it got off the uncleared drive absolutely fine. Not what you expect from rwd and wide tyres.

I’d be pretty annoyed if a dedicated winter tyre was bad in winter conditions if I’m honest

There’s only so much a tyre can do if conditions are bad enough. Winter tyres won’t suddenly turn a heavy rwd merc into a tracked snowcat 😂

New car got snowed on for the first time this morning! Set off in sunshine and snowing by the time we got to Uttoxeter. At least it was undercover parking at Waitrose.

Mostly grey thick cloud and drizzle here with the occasional bit of blue sky poking through. Thoroughly cold too.

Fortunately my Christmas present to myself was a new coat so I have enjoyed test driving it over the last two days. I can report it is warming and windproof but breathable with lovely hand warming pockets.

Well, Pudsey is fucked today. Unsurprisingly the hill roads up to town were mangled with people in cars using WOT to try to get up and slithering all over the place.

Spent 45 minutes failing to get to nursery with Max this morning. Ended up getting stuck on a hill because the stupid bint in the X1 in front of me thought that 5K rpm was the minimum revs required to drive in snow. Had I not had to stop when she span, I'd have made it. First time in decades I've actually failed to complete a journey because of the snow.

Nothing other than the odd white chunk in amongst the rain. Very disappointing, have yet to properly test my winter tyres 😂
