Re: Decent car YouTubes

I've only discovered his stuff recently (via Sloppy Mechanics) and it's a gold mine of great content, he replies to comments as well which is always nice, he gave me some advice on ring gap for turbos in one of his vids.

Re: Decent car YouTubes

Probably not of general interest, but Richard Holdeners channels is well worth a visit. He runs various engines (mostly US V8 stuff but some Honda stuff too) on his engine dyno and records the effects of different mods. This one might be of interest to NotoriousREV 8-) https://www...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I attempted to change the ball joint on the Smart car last weekend, as usual nothing was easy and one of the bolts that holds it to the upright is seized in place. For some reason Smart decided the best Idea was to put the bolt in from the disk side so that you have to take the brake caliper, brake ...

Re: Decent car YouTubes

I've bulk watching the JuiceBoxForYou channel lately, a lot of automotive sillyness from Ireland with an emphasis on AE86's (the guy who runs the channel is restoring one) and drifting. It's a blog style and well worth a watch in my opinion, it's given some genuine LOLZ  https://youtu.be/_m...

Does it have to be that small ? I’ve been really impressed with my mums Citigo and I think Matt is quite keen on his UP. Dave! Afraid so. It's street parking only with Victorian terraces, which together with most idiots not being able to park to save their lives means spaces are at a premium. You t...

Re: Your fleet running reports

The Smart car has shit its water pump, and is currently at the local specialist having it replaced. I don't think there can be much of the original car left at this point, so I've thinking about swapping it for something else, the only candidate (other than a newer model Smart car) is a Toyota iQ, ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Then 5 minutes talking about how no other car manufacturer offers stuff like this for free. My Merc is a 2014 model; it came with three years of free sat nav map updates. Obviously the maps in the car’s nav are still from 2013 because despite being serviced at Merc, they didn’t even bother to apply...

Most of the mid/late 2000's car modding/Max Power type scene seems to be made up of desperate shit like this.

Re: Nice M3

It probably means the person who did that bought it as a write off when they were cheap then 'fixed' it like that. Of course, that doesn't excuse how vile it is. If the engine is as good as it should be at that mileage it's worth near on £8k in bits. Would be quite good fun to buy it and chisel all...

Re: 6month extension for MOT's

The BMW's MoT expires on Monday which is when the change comes in, so I just about made it.

I was going to just SORN it for a bit anyway as I doubt I'll be using it for a while.

Just a cheeky little one would be ok 🤞 Interested to see how you like them. Think of it as scrubbing them in 😂 I may do that, I just need to overcome my inherent mechanical sympathy! I like them so far, grip has obviously improved as the MPSS that were on there whilst still legal were well past it....

No LSD just electronic braked diff when all systems off. It works ok to be fair. Certainly not lacking in power. I've loved my time with it so far. Lucky to be able to do so many miles in it.
