Re: The angle grinder strikes back!

A truly shocking incident but at least nobody I care about was harmed and at least Gavin appears to have learnt his lesson here. Although one can't help but wonder why somebody so named ever thought it wise to pick up an angle grinder in the first place?. Angle grinders are tools for the Daves and ...

I was going to say chromecast until you said Amazon. Smart TV, then.

Re: Apollo 11 at 50

I've been enthralled at the BBC world service podcast called "13 minutes to the moon". It's been an incredible insight into what it took. The final episode is just the recording of the radio during the decent. The previous episodes have taught you how to follow it all. The score is also by...

Re: For Sells - my Abarth 124 Spider #Bargain

I wonder what engine you can currently buy has the oldest roots? The current 1.4 in the Fiat family dates to the mid 80’s I think but that’s nothing when compared to the Bentley 6 3/4 which is from 1959! I'm willing to bet that only the displacement is the same as the 1959 engine. You’d lose that b...

Re: For Sells - my Abarth 124 Spider #Bargain

Everyone needs a RWD wet roundabout fuckup in their driving history! I span my Mk2 Escort on a wet roundabout and had to wave an apology to the bloke behind who I ended up face to face with. I wish I could claim that I was pressing on but I was going quite slowly at the time. And I'm glad that Rich...

Re: Bluetooth --> FM transmitters

Topic started on Friday. I'm assuming the correct answer was to order a new head unit from Amazon or buy one at Halfords and fit on Saturday? I think the Pioneer one we put in the camper van was about £150 or so. Its now Tuesday, so I'm guessing Beanie has been able to toss all his blank CD-Rs in t...

Re: Ridiculous cost of options...

I wonder what the biggest uplift in base spec to fully loaded is? In percentage terms. And not properly custom stuff - eg getting your Phantom 8 dash made out of solid platinum. Normal car Same engine etc (no 320 Vs M3) Options on the website As per my earlier reply, you need to be aiming at over 1...

Yep. CBA with sitting with my foot on the brake, so on it goes. I'm not wealthy enough to have fancy cars with auto handbrakes and hill holds.
