Re: Another mass shooting in America
I saw a film/programme once where the guy at the gun shop was saying that the very best form of home defence is the *sound* of you cocking a pump action shot gun - which I totally believe. I was told the best home defence weapon was a flamethrower. As for the "Good guy with a gun"...

Re: No F1 thread?
Russell - impossible to judge how good he is as he’s in such a shit car against an ever worse team mate and they’re both in a different chassis even. Definitely needs another year in a better team. Even then there’s no guarantee, apparently Gasley was impressive in the Toro Rosso - but I never noti...

Re: No F1 thread?
Also, Gasly under threat at RB. Gasley looked great against Hartley but looks decidedly average against a phenomenal driver like Max. But who would they replace him with? They had to get a reject out of the bin to get two drivers at STR. Tictum is falling out of favour as he's struggling to get a s...

Wasn't there another dam up that way that had a spillway collapse in heavy rain/floods a few years back? Missed this yesterday Jimmy. Not sure tbh. I don't recall one but you may be right. Be interesting to see what happens with it as there's been some suggestion it may be replaced rather than rebu...

Re: FTAO Jimmy Chooo
I bought one of the last built 97/98 model in 2003 and without doubt it's been my favourite car. It was properly quick, quicker than my friends Subaru's, Golf Gti's etc of the time and the noise was incredible with the 2.5" full stainless exhaust I had made for it. The perfect business tool 8)...

Re: eBay 996 build thread
Right, the car is going in to Unique Porsche on the 12th. The plan is to drop the engine and strip bank 1 to see if there's any visible cracking. Can't compression test it as they usually crack between the water jacket and oil gallery rather than in the cylinder so it doesn't tell us anything. If i...
