Re: Trump

A comment I saw yesterday: he reacted quicker to sign an executive order against social media platforms after Twitter added a fact check link to one of his tweets than he did against Coronavirus.

Re: No F1 thread?

So Merc won’t have a works team, Racing Point will become Aston Martin with Merc engines, run by Toto.

Where will Ham end up? 🤔

dinny_g wrote: Thu May 28, 2020 6:10 pm Did I hear it correctly about Track and Trace??

They’re only asking you to self isolate if you’ve been within 2m of an infected person for 15 mins or more??
That was the original advice waaay back at the start, that it required close contact for longer than 15 mins to infect someone.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Tangent, but I used to really fancy a 75 3.0V6. The more aggressive Veloce looked too try-hard at the time, and just horrible now... Still nice :) https://i.pinimg.com/originals/a2/01/7c/a2017c56eefc039654e7809a083ea1b2.jpg Isn't that three cars badly welded together? ;) Yes. It’s an Alfa.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Would I be flayed alive for saying I think the 605 was better looking? The 405 and 605 were great looking cars, and the 605 actually had the nicer proportions. I think the 164 looks sportier but the big Pug is wonderful understated elegance. lets make this the last thing we agree on for a while. Bu...

Re: Coronavirus

We watched a funeral on the laptop it's not good especially when it freezes and you miss the end. Its strange times indeed and I really feel for anybody who has lost someone they know recently and couldn't get to a funeral, console loved ones etc. That said, will we just assume that everybody has m...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Always likes the 164. Back in the day they looked like a big old barge though. Compared to modern stuff they seem pretty tiny these days  There's an issue of Autocar from back in the day where the cover story is a “group test” of the Alfa 164, Sierra Sapphire Cosworth and the Rover 827 Vittess...

Re: Project Redneck

One of the things that needs fixing in my car is the dashboard top, which is badly cracked. You can buy them new in the US for $600 plus shipping etc. I found one on ebay that was in Yorkshire, advertised as being for a Camaro or Firebird. It turns out that they’re not interchangeable despite lookin...

Twin turbo Viper with 2100bhp at the wheels. Just as inspiration obviously.
Even 10% of that would be more than I have now
