Re: EV Thread
Something which surprised me, the new Renault Scenic SUV (wait wasn’t the Scenic a shitty people carrier?) now looks like a VW Golf - weighs only 1917kg with a 87kwh battery - which I reckon makes it the lightest car with such a high capacity battery. However. Why the fuck would you still make it FW...

Looks like someone murdered some German tourists in the woods and is now trying to flog their car.

Re: Home CCTV
Yeah… Having real time cameras has been a game changer for us. Being in a rural area we always had problems with people trespassing, theft, fly tipping, cutting fences which then led to animals escaping, people on quad bikes would tie a rope to a fence post, pull it out with quad bike then go for a ...

Re: Home CCTV
Reolink do 4G cameras for off grid applications. Fine if you want just 1.
We ended up with a 350w solar panel, 12v battery, inverter, 4g router which goes off to 4 more outdoor routers and 40 ring cameras.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Apparently the Eletre rear wing provides 112kg of downforce although it didn’t say at what speed. Now what I want to know is that on a car which is near enough 3 tonnes once occupants are in it how much additional difference will the 112kg downforce make  Maybe they should start fitting aircraf...

Re: No F1 thread?
The official highlights on the F1 app are good enough tbh. Also they use their own commentary team so you don't need to listen to that twat having an orgasm every 20 seconds over nothing.

Re: No F1 thread?
I don’t think the core chassis is ever upgraded during a season? That would then invoke a raft of new crash tests with the FIA and every part would have to be adapted to fit? As for today’s race, only watched the 8 minute highlights, seemed like after Max retired the rest just finished in mostly the...

That orange leather case looks like something you'd find for £5k in Hermes. Bargain.
Re: EV Thread
Maybe best to comment in this thread rather than start a separate one, but from the experience I have had of EVs as a passenger, the biggest issue with them isn't charging infrastructure, battery longevity, etc. its that the ride in them is absolutely appalling. At least, for a good number of them ...

Re: EV Thread
The regular road version of the Lucid motor including the gears and diff weighs a bit more at 74kg, but that's 670bhp so not terribly worse in terms of BHP per Kg. Anyway, EV drivetrains aren't the problem, bloated cars, which then result in further bloated batteries, which then result in further bl...
Re: EV Thread
That 1.5 litre Nissan engine was a bit of a shitter, it was the one used in the weird Le Mans Deltawing and I’m guessing it wasn’t very reliable as it’s been 10 years now and it’s yet to be fitted in any production car since.

It's been a month since winter testing and Williams haven't managed to make a spare chassis yet. James Vowles can bitch about the old Excel system as much as he wants but it's been a month ffs.

It'll be even worse now I reckon. She was doing the wounded animal pretending it's fine thing ok (because they knew it would be worse if the press found out) but I guess that cunt in the hospital who looked up her personal records would have spilled the beans to the Daily Mail for £2000 sooner or la...

I've realised the mild wet weather is shit for animals outside. So many mites and fleas about, I guess the weather hasn't been cold enough to kill them off this winter.
