Re: Ladders

Ladders suck. I bought a 4.8m multi purpose ladder. I only use it as a 2.4m A frame as anything else is wobbly and horrible and can GTF!!

Awful things!!

Re: Your fleet running reports

New tyres being fitted tomorrow so dave the old ones some pain today with a nice long 3rd gear rolling burnout. It was caught short of pulling 4th due to noticing someone coming the other way. They looked less than chuffed to be driving through all that smoke 🤣🤣 M140i is brilliant at it so I may do ...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Yeah, removing the doors/wall and using it to enlarge the existing rooms sounds like a good idea. Remember to check building regs about what you need to upgrade to allow you to remove the doors, or you could end up with issues down the line. The number of conservatories you see set up like "an...

Re: The House Projects Thread

I can't stand conservatories - such a weird idea. They're always too hot or too cold, they look crap, they're often stuck in the back of the living room - so you're blocking the view of the garden from the room you spend the most time in, they usually have the double back doors to them so don't fee...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Well, new windows, back door and back garage window and door ordered. I'm still waiting for the new conservatory flooring to arrive. Currently the conservatory is still the original (from 1990) single glazing and polycarbonate roof. As expected it gets scorchio in there in the summer and freezing i...

Re: First Class Bacon

No bacon-related updates so far this year - I have been lax. As a gift they sent a couple of freebies with my latest order. Nothing ridiculous but very much appreciated nonetheless. End bits that they can’t make a rasher out of, but are obviously right at the edge so take a full-blast of whatever c...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Any recommendations for online tyre places? Just checked Blackcircles and the Michelins I want have gone up from £82ish to £126ish per tyre (fully fitted). Before someone suggests another tyre, I've got very nearly new ones on two wheels already, so want a matched set. mytyres.co.uk is what I usual...

“ Its introduction on UK roads could cut transport carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 750,000 tonnes a year – the equivalent of taking 350,000 cars off the road, or all the cars in North Yorkshire.” I’m good with the Northern Yorkshire proposal. You've now been added to "the" list. #youswine

We're mid-migration to Teams too. It really doesn't do anything very well, and most things badly. But, the course is set and we can't change it. Compared to Skype, Zoom and WebEx (which we also have clients for to meet customer and supplier demands) it is a resource hog of epic proportions. I can e...

Over a week into the Vivoactive 4 and I think it's brilliant! Battery is lasting 4/5 days with occasional GPS and Spotify.

Very pleased with it and would recommend.

So they've actually done an incredibly neat job. Managed to scuff the paint on the full but that's no issue really. The downstairs bay seems to have given them some real grief though. I suspect the original wasn't square with a larger side pane on one side tham the other. The new ones are square......

Re: The House Projects Thread

I've been pondering building a nice office/sun room/shed in the garden but not doing much more that pondering TBH. Then someone sent me to the diysheds.co.uk and now I've designed what I want and am getting quotes for materials. Might just be taking a week off work in the spring to build something ...
