Re: Project Binky
Isn’t it down to the individual patrons? If I was paying for something and not getting value for money, I wouldn’t hesitate to chop it. Or are people locked in to it? On the other hand, £2 a month is the sort of payment that slips under the radar… (Speaks the man who accidentally paid for a second T...

I told Mrs Newt that her hair is yellow. She maintains it is 'blonde'. I maintain I am technically correct. She is unhappy.

Re: Selling Cars Privately
I always think buying a second hand car privately must be torture but then I read these threads and realise that all you have to do is turn up when you say and offer the asking price and people will fall over each other to sell you the car!

I’m putting a vote in for the mushy pea fritter, but basically we’ve established that all foods are improved by frying in batter.

Re: Full Fibre
Ooh. I just spotted that we have been on plusnet 36 since moving in and paying £27.49 a month when we could have 75 for £27.99 a month or 145 for £29.99 a month, so an upgrade seemed like a no brainer. As an aside, a friend of mine who is a Nerd is very strongly in favour of Armstrong and Arnold as ...

Harry's lambo appears to be the most drifted countach in the world. No wonder the gearbox was shagged.

Re: Royal Family
They bring out Kate Middleton to prove she is fine but it is in fact Cake Middleton, a scarily accurate replica made of victoria sponge. The source for "announcement coming" seems to be twitter rumours, I can't see anything truly solid. Ladbrookes are offering 10,000-1 on the big news bein...

What is disquieting is that many of these young people are now old enough to hold important positions in our society.

Re: Lads
To paraphrase Churchill: in the morning I shall be sober, but you shall all still be doing sterling work. Brandy and college port, a toxic combination. Today has been something of a struggle, in spite of a morning admin-only session. I'm picturing Newt with a pair of pants on his head telling his mi...

Re: Test drive report
Test driving the demo GTS was great. It's not an intimidating thing; main take-aways were that I prefer a leather not alcantara steering wheel (at first I really disliked the alcantara wheel, partly because he'd turned the wheel heating on); that it feels incredibly rigid and while the suspension i...
