Re: Your fleet running reports
I ought to get one of these types really - I've a few Ryobi batteries now and am about to get some garage units to tidy everywhere up a bit, so it makes sense.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Now look what you've all made me do. Thought the Makita that Broccers posted looked pretty good, and I am fed up buying manual pumps and cheap 12v pumps that just break. My power tools are DeWalt so I have 3 batteries already - ah yes they do an inflator doo-dah too, and yes it is even more ...

Mother Hubbard’s in Worcester - I think they are a chain. First bite was a bit WTF, but they grew on me 😄 When I were a lad there was a Mother Hubbard's in Oldham and AFAIK it was the only one. Closed in the late 80s I think. Site had been all sorts since then, until some time in the 2000s when it ...

Re: Full Fibre
In fairness, most people don't need massive upload - even multiple teams calls is maybe 10-20mb/sec for the upstream side. I find synchronous useful as I'm regularly shuffling stuff up to remote servers, etc, and the down speed is handy for quickly grabbing ISOs, running updates, etc. Swerv, if you...

Re: Full Fibre
Switched just over a month ago to IDNet's Ultrafast 300 - £45/mo which is the same as we were paying for normal (slow) broadband beforehand. Getting about 70/50 on a 2.4GHz wifi connection or 150/50 on a 5GHz connection. We've found it much better for work as we often both work at home, with the wif...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
Under the new priority system pedestrians always have right of way. The red man signal for pedestrians merely alerts them to the fact they should be more cautious. Technically under the new system traffic lights for pedestrians and pedestrian crossings are almost irrelevant as a pedestrian stepping...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement
That's as much disabled guy's fault really - he shouldn't be crossing on a red man signal should he? He clearly just thought "fuck the cyclist I'm going for it"

Re: Your fleet running reports
Oh yeah and the rear wash doesn't work on the 135i, and apparently checking the motors is a wheel off, inner arch out, entire wing off job. Think I'll live with a mucky rear screen for now  I assume you've tried just cleaning the jets? :P I'm not getting a response from the motor when trying t...

Re: 6 Nations
Fra Eng game was great to watch. England threw it away though - with 4mins left on the clock why would you kick it to the opposition when you're ahead but only by 1pt?

Re: VOIP Phones
I was worried it might be something like that. Not least as I have no fucking clue what that is  Anyway, it was much more straightforward. It just needed to be used. Phoned the parents on it last night, wondering if using it for more than just a quick "does it dial through to my mobile&quo...

Watched it earlier. I went from "FFS just finish the broken old BMWs you already have that you haven't touched for over a year" to "I'm fully onboard with this project" within about 5mins. As someone put it on his Patreon - " I'd watch Sreten fix a broken toaster". Whic...

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase
I’d personally prefer to have an orangery type structure, which houses a pool, hot tub, cold plunge and gym https://www.westburygardenrooms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/pool-house-walled-garden-1024x576.jpg Similar to the above, but more ornate, and I’d want the option for everything to open at t...

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase
I wouldn't bother with an outdoor swimming pool here, let alone Ireland! Quite Mind, I'm not really a fan of these sorts of places. They might look great on Insta, or on screen when they've been rented out for filming purposes, but they have zero appeal to me as a place to live. Was interesting las...

£110m jackpot tomorrow lads. I look forward to lots pictures of mega mansions and hypercars with tins of custard in the shot... I'd need a place back home... this got my interest: https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/detached-house-ananda-saint-georges-avenue-killiney-co-dublin/4613671 Crank that exposure!...

Had the pulleys done on the 330 yesterday. Tensioner and idler, along with new belt obvs, and also an oil service. 18years and 136k on the original pulleys and they still weren't in too bad condition. Tensioner one is a bit noisy an the idler one a bit gritty feeling, but the main reason for replaci...

Re: The (mainly city-focussed) anti-car movement
It's really not difficult to understand his point is it? Cycling UK is a charity setup to inspire people to take up cycling, "to fight climate change" (selectively quoted by me). One can therefore easily infer that their main focus or raison d'etre is centred on getting the general populou...

Re: VOIP Phones
Some progress has been made. Following supply of a couple of additional bits of info from IDNet, I managed to get our Gigaset base station to register the service yesterday. So last night I paired the handset and tested it out - outbound calls successfully made! However, incoming not working. Comes ...
Re: 6 Nations
And that 40yd reverse pass from Le Garrec...! I was busy all weekend, so games watched properly = 0. I did however turn on the tellybox and find that game on - about 20secs before that pass was made. I couldn't work out what the 4uck had happened  until they showed the slomo  . Fabulous...
