Re: What's wrong with yours?

Got a bit of a squeak on some bumps and humps from the rear. Haven't got around to clearing the boot out and going for a test drive yet (in case it's just something stupid) because it's not affecting anything, it's just a bit annoying.

Re: The idle dreaming “what next” thread.

Thoughts of something 'toyish' to complement the Mondeo. No, not the Puma. P'raps an RX8 or something similarly cheap, smallish, nippy and definitely RWD. No plans, of course. But I am finding that the size of the Mondeo does blunt it on backroads. It takes more than I expected to make it start losi...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Westworld S2 Ep2 was indeed fantastic. Delores has gone full megalomaniac! Although I thought it was Maeve who had all the Jedi mind trick superpowers? Dolores doesn't have Jedi mind tricks, but if someone resurrected you from the dead like it was no big thing, you'd probably start taking her more ...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Westworld S02E02 was brilliant Yup, really enjoyed that. Theirs less teasing this season now that everthings established, and they're straight into the rollocking adventure time! Ash Vs Evil Dead is over and I'm infinitely glad they made it, and a bit sad that it's gone, but it went out with a pret...

Re: Been a shitty week

Compared to the slow degradation of my gran years ago, on balance it is better this way (just). He never knew about it, was over in an instant according to the attending (off-duty) paramedics at the scene moments later. It’s a clean break at least, and we can arrange and plan with certainty for the...

Yeah, I had a calendar.

Re: EOTR - Evo Magazine

Remember back in the early days when we all got a chance to be 'contributors' by (I think) having a thread or post that the staff found the most entertaining? Got our forum usernames in the credits of the paper mag. I still have my Evo mug, which I got for something, can't remember what (pretty sure...

Re: Decent Recent TV

I'm expecting a couple of episodes as setup of how the new status quo is, before they start tying things together.

S1 had a bit of a slow start, but was mitigated by the fact that they could show off what had changed from the original film, etc...

I'm expecting good things.

Re: Decent Recent TV

Ash Vs Evil Dead S3 Still bags of fun, lots of great practical effects and set pieces, and as they suspected they might not get renewed, they are winding up to a 'final' finale for the whole Evil Dead saga, it seems. Finale is this Sunday, and Bruce Campbell is putting Ash away for good. https://tw...

Um.

Not really, still reads like a wind-up TBH. Who puts in that sort of mileage?
TBH it's not that bad. leave Leeds at 1730, get there about 2100ish. Lark about till about 6-7pm on Sunday, head back up the road.

It's pretty good.

I like the ATVs with the 'airless' tyres.

Re: It's the weekend

Had some beers last night and ate some junk food.

Woke up this morning (afternoon) and still had a few beers left so have been slowly supping the hair of the dog that bit me, while sorting out some roast pork.

So a quiet one.

Re: Decent Recent TV

Lost In Space You know what, given that the original was (to me at least) a saturday afternoon sci fi romp, with some campy baddies and whatnot, having watched the reboot, I quite like it. It's not some grimdark reboot, it's something you could reasonably sit down with a ten year old and watch and ...

Here, I took a picture of the fucking thing now that the sun is out and you can see it.

Sort of. I was too lazy to move the car so that it better lit, etc. One day I might. We'll see.
