Re: Harry’s Garage

I'd been looking forward to that video since he posted pictures of the car on Instagram. It was also useful because I now know that if I ever buy an Esprit, I'll need to get one with a sunroof to be able to drive it .

There's nothing, Just empty space.

That's everything though. At a sub atomic level we're more empty space than stuff.

Yeah, that's why I'm thinking to hedge my bets and build my money up/improve my ship before I go wandering.

I assume you'd want to avoid ending up stuck in a hostile system with a dead ship and no credits?

Re: The Movie Thread

TBH if they were going to replace Iron Man with a younger model they'd be better to do Iron Lad from the Young Avengers stuff, would let them introduce Kang the Conqueror as a new big bad as well.

It's fucking hard, I'm just about getting my head around the physics of flying now. I managed to dock and leave from a station without blowing up the other day . Still not sure what I actually want to do with it yet, I guess the best way to start is with trading/courier jobs to build up your fu...

Re: The £500 car for a stag do challenge

Is it worth pointing out that driving a shitbox around the north of Scotland for a week sounds like the worst idea for a celebration ever?

Re: Decent Recent TV

I'm still a big fan of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Most of it is irrelevant because I'm nearly vegan but I give it serious airtime. One of the few things I miss from having an actual TV service in the house, we used to have Food Network as our background noise channel. Very rarely think to stream a...

Re: Primary school shenanigans

It’s taken billions of years for the universe to be the way it is and science can mostly explain how basic forces created the rhythms we see today.

The fact that the universe works as a mostly synchronous entity isn’t proof of a higher power.

Re: Primary school shenanigans

There's no space for that kind of sensible chat around here Preach . I think one of main things I learned quite early on from growing up around religious people is that you sometimes have to rub along with people you don't agree with for the sake of progressing. It's a lesson that seems to be g...

Definitely worse than most, he mixes a healthy measure of intellectual bullying into his zealotry if you don't agree with him.

Re: Primary school shenanigans

As for accepting atheists, my Twitter stream this weekend included 2 different atheists telling me that I'm being an atheist wrong, repeatedly shouting at me that gods don't exist (despite me saying the same thing), and calling for the absolute banning of all religions. Apparently some people reall...

RE is compulsory at every primary school, it's part of the national curriculum.
Not at standard Grade (or what ever they call the two years before your first exams now) in high school as far as I know though.

There were certain days that they would have compulsory masses but if you weren't into it you could just sit at the back and be ignored. RE was compulsory through standard grad...
