Re: Cholestorol and heart disease.

Mine was about 7.5 but with statins - and to be fair, a lot of diet changes, it’s down to 3.3 with both readings well in the good range.

I’m also on Ramapril for Blood Pressure (which is also working - 115 to 120 over 82 to 84 which isn’t the worst for a 50 year old who needs to lose a stone or two.

Re: Hive mind: opinion on this polo

My sister had a 1.2 for a good while - bought it with 40k km’s and it never put a foot wrong.

Mum now has one - again, bought with about 40k km’s and it’s going well so far.

Non technical feedback but they do seem a decent car. Mini Dinny will be getting one for his first.

Re: Decent Recent TV

A Life in 10 Pictures Brilliant series looking at the life of a famous person through 10 pictures, introduced by the people who took the pic, those in it or connected to it. It’s a really good way to frame a talk about the person. First one was Carrie Fischer, the second, Bruce Lee. Next week is Ro...

Re: The Movie Thread

Someone recently pointed out to me that:
Spoiler
the precision missile attack on the enemy base before the bombing run could have been repeated on the SAM positions. Would have made the attack a lot easier
But that aside, it’s a cracking brain out action flick

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase

I do need to visit Dublin some day though. Everyone I know here tells me to not bother but they said the same about Liverpool and I really liked it there 😂 Dublin’s great and all but it’s not really Ireland or Irish. It’s “like a 14 year old girl wearing her older sisters clothes and makeup pretend...

Re: Euromillions immediate purchase

I’d have the first house, the modern one, with the second grounds and pool (with a completely new roof structure) and a hard court instead of the grass court for me so we can play basketball. I like a bit of basketball

I’d personally prefer to have an orangery type structure, which houses a pool, hot tub, cold plunge and gym https://www.westburygardenrooms.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/pool-house-walled-garden-1024x576.jpg Similar to the above, but more ornate, and I’d want the option for everything to open at t...

I find rotating it 90 degrees makes for an easier pour. Same goes for engine oil, screen wash fluid etc

Re: Jerry can recommendations

I bought a 20l can in B&Q in 2003 when I bought my first house. It's still in surprisingly good condition. Can't remember what I paid for it but they're going for about the £30 mark. I went for a metal can because the Plastic ones used to Swell alarmingly when the garage got hot in the summer.. ...

Is that maybe the difference between Auto-Testing and a Auto-Solo ? the need for the vehicle to be road legal ?
Autosolos are forward only, autotests go backwards as well

Re: Baltimore Bridge Collision

What's the weight of something like that Dave - 100k tonnes and more ?

Even drifting slowly, that's a hell of a force on the bridge and once it starts to go, all structural integrity is gone and it will always be a total collapse.

I wonder was there any sort of warning from the Ship bridge ?
