Ban anyone who doesn’t have a proven Anglo Saxon decendency from every tv show aired in this country.
Is this what the long term goal is?

Can we ban idris Elba too for his offensive attempted at American accents?

Re: Food served on wood
I enjoyed Meat Liquor as an experience, can’t remember what the food was like though. One the most memorably brilliant burgers I’ve ever had was in a Nordic restaurant in Sri Lanka. We were not expecting anything special and just looked on trip advisor for a decent place to eat. Maybe the lack of ex...

I’ll do you a cracking deal on 2 or 4 tyres. They’re mountain bike tyres, probably about 10 years old and in my garage. Almost certainly cracked.

The thought of commuting knowing there’s a blanking panel over a switch for an option I didn’t specify chills me to the very core.

Re: Your fleet running reports
Tried to refill the screen wash on the BMW and it all pissed straight out the bottom of the car. Not just a drip, a steady flow. Normally I'd dive straight in but the reservoir is inside the driver's wheel arch and you need to remove the wheelarch liner to even look at it. Faff. I deliberately boug...

Or you could just buy a Golf R estate (obviously with the pretty Pretoria optional alloys) and have fast, practical and affordable.

Re: What am I missing? £20k ish choice
It's the automotive equivalent of having a drab, mundane wife but still trying to tell yourself you have a chance with the hot receptionist as you lean over her desk, trying to get a glimpse down her top, exuding what you believe to be sexual confidence and charisma - although the scuffed, grey sli...

Re: What am I missing? £20k ish choice
if you’re starting out as a penny-pincher, then a proper performance saloon isn’t for you. This is literally the second-funniest thing I’ve read on the internet all day. its true though, no one in the history of the internet has announced their search criteria saying they’d be ok with a 2 litre eng...

Re: Letting people out
Can we also add people who stop to let others out of junctions when there's no one behind them, if they bothered to check their mirrors they'd realise it'd be quicker to sail straight past the junction then the person waiting can just anyway. we can. No we can't. If there is no one behind them who ...

Re: What am I missing? £20k ish choice
And Rich and James: You're right - performance cars should only be purchased by those with a completely carefree attitude to costs, expenses and risks ;) That isn't my point at all, nor Rich's :) From ACTUAL REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE, my M5 and RS4 have been very expensive to run. I can't speak for Ric...

Re: What am I missing? £20k ish choice
Weird. That's not something I've noticed in our 420. Is it, perhaps, an X-drive thing? Possibly. I just thought it was where the transmission tunnel (gearbox clearance) encroached into the footwell. I'll pop by again at the weekend to see if it was an X-drive car or not - they're only 5 minutes fro...

Re: What am I missing? £20k ish choice
OK I'm gonna address the BMW thing. I specifically went to the BMW dealership (amongst others) a few weeks ago with an open mind to see what they had to offer, because yes, a 330/40 or 430/40 would make the most sense. However, in both I found the footwell offset to the right, and consequently I di...

Re: Food served on wood
The drink thing doesn’t bother me, though of course it depends on the setting. There’s a good cocktail place (callooh callay) I know that serves awesome cocktails in a chilled lidded pewter tankard, you’d feel a berk with it at your local, but it’s all part of the presentation there. Slate/wood/othe...
