Re: The Watches Thread
I have to say that I find it quite odd that people would pay so much for a watch with a mechanical movement that isn’t even unique to the manufacturer - especially when it could be bought for a few hundred quid elsewhere.

Re: The Watches Thread
I’m not fussed about expensive watches (not saying anyone else is wrong for liking them), I don’t really get the point of a watch that costs thousands and have no interest in what movement they have. I quite like russian and military style watches and I currently have Vostok Europe Anchar (that I li...

Beany. Just to make sure it’s clear - You do not need to pay for someone else's cat. EFA Hush now. (and besides, we're both cat people and I owe her a favour or three after cocking a couple of things up) Animals are not to be used for apologies. They live for 10/15 years+ (Similar to a dog is not j...

What a great race. Red Bull as a team we’re on fire, Ricciardo drove brilliantly, Max needs to learn some patience and I enjoyed seeing Vettel do badly. I loved the interview between Toto Wolff and the Sky guys. Simon: “You should have pitted” Toto: [looks at watch] “Yes, 30 minutes after the race ...

Just rename the cars forum “readers cars”. All the posts in there are about our cars anyway.

I know there’s a few of you on here, I stumbled across a great shop in Tring near Aston Hill yesterday that has a load of beautiful classic 1990s high end bikes on display around the shop. Apparently the owner has a collection of hundreds - The teenage shop assistant was probably a bit confused by t...

Re: Project Binky updates thread
I got a message last week from them: Hi gang, just a quick note so say that we haven't fallen off the face of the planet, we've been busy working on the next Project Binky episode. (17) In addition, we've made some rather drastic changes with the express purpose of bringing out subsequent episodes, ...

Re: Decent Recent TV
Has anybody watched Shifting Gears with Aaron Kaufman ?, I enjoyed him on Fast n Loud, but I am not sure whether he has got what it takes to be the main presenter of a program. like many of the other discovery efforts, its lacking “risk of failure” element. The really successful shows are based on ...

Yeah, we had one for daring to Morzine last year - definitely worth having.
