Re: Decent car YouTubes
Luke normally has some decent videos, but this one was pretty cool. Great looking roads, in a GT3 Touring. Probably a hard experience to top! The sound on this video is pretty nuts, but wish he'd opened it up a little more. I guess difficult on public roads. Worth a watch though. https://www.youtube...

Re: Being burgled
Reading this thread yesterday must have been a bad omen, as my car was broken into last night... Stole my sunglasses and some change I had in the centre console. Couldn't see any damage, so not sure how they got in. Just left some charging cables thrown on the drivers seat. Luckily I didn't really h...

Re: Multi camera angles
Can you get one of those 360 cameras? Granted probably not able to replicate multiple cameras to an extent, but you can pick what angles you want to use in the phone software and chop and change as required. *I've not used one so not sure how good or easier they are to use, but I see a lot of their ...

Re: Screenwash
I've normally just bought the Halfords ready mix screenwash. Not really ever considered the impact of trying something "better" quality. I've got a BMW and not had any issues with the nozzles blocking (guessing that's because I pretty much always get the same one). I don't do a lot of mile...

Re: Weight training
I've weighted trained for a long time now, although I have found this year, I've dropped down to just going to the gym 4 times a week (previously 5 days). My training style has changed a bit in the last 6 months as well. I used to focus a lot on the "big 3" bench press, squats and deadlift...

Re: Don't watch the World Cup!!! Boycott it!! Um... why?
It covers a lot to do with the regional powers, the ExCo and bribes. I was surprised Sepp Blatter was on it and being interviewed throughout the 4 episodes. Definitely interesting but doesn't shine them in glory!

Couldn't possibly comment on that... (I'm not sure how he wasn't off immediately after that, nasty).
Also watching the FIFA programme on Netflix is worthwhile, see a lot of the corruption and how this World Cup came about. Johnny Harris on YouTube has a couple of interesting videos on it as well.

Re: EV Thread
Yeah, that does seem like an issue. I wonder if these bigger SUV type EVs are even longer to break even on their carbon footprint? The Volvo XC40 in a previous study suggested 68,000 miles for breaking even on a normal petrol version (lower if from renewables). The XC40 apparently weighs up to 2188k...

Re: Karting, what line?
I couldn't say for certain, but last time I did outdoor karting, a lot of the really fast guys were staying right on those tricky S bends. Tried to copy and it did seem to work, but there were multiple stag dos on the track, and people were just all over the place and ranging in ability. Made it dif...

Re: Bye Bye Sunak..
Maybe it's my more youthful view, but I really don't get how Labour would be worse than the Tories (no idea who I'd currently vote for). Since I've been able to vote, it's always been the Tories in power, and the country seems worse to me than it's ever been. I don't see how Sunak makes things bette...

I've got no idea how they actually get photos like that, but it's so impressive. The colours, the details... Space is just mind boggling.

Has it all fallen apart this evening? Just looking at r/ukpolitics on Reddit and it's all a bit chaotic with people resigning etc. Some of the updates on The Guardian seem a bit crazy as well - https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2022/oct/19/liz-truss-pmqs-jeremy-hunt-inflation-pensions-triple...

Re: The resurgence of vinyl
My dad is obsessed with Vinyl and has hundreds of albums and singles. Keeps saying jokingly it's mine and my brother's inheritance. I don't really want to have to deal with it  I'd much rather just have my Spotify account and listen to what I want, when I want to listen to it. Guessing it's a g...

Re: Craziest motoring country?
Thailand was pretty bad when I went there (albeit this was 10 years ago so might have improved by now..?). Bangkok was crazy busy and people just seemed to do what they liked. I know when I was riding a moped round in Phuket, there didn't seem to be any rules other than had to wear a helmet. My frie...

Re: New Merc C63 AMG
Just watched the new CarWOW video on it. Not that I'm in the market for one, but I like the looks of it at least. The V8 going is obviously disappointing, but the weight increase is mental considering they've halved the engine. 2111kg for the saloon, 2145kg for the estate. The last gen was 1680kg an...

Re: Grand Tour Series 3
What was the tunnel thing? I’ve seen the crash, but not what they were trying to do which led up to it and doubt I can be bothered to watch the episode. Dark tunnel to see who could get the highest top speed and stop before the end and manage to stop. James obviously over cooked it and ended up sla...

Re: Grand Tour Series 3
They just do one off specials now I thought, no more series. I watched it over the weekend and enjoyed it, the whole sub base bit was a bit strange. I couldn't work out if they just went into that area without anyone challenging them..? Seeing the old RS4 did make me think back to really wanting one...
