Re: Prince Philip

Every LED billboard having a tribute to him seems a bit much. Don’t watch broadcast tv so I’m free from the rest of the tribute spam. Even the bloody bus stop advertising signs had it this morning I noticed, although I think it's a bit daft I'm actually impressed that the country seems to have come...

Re: Prince Philip

I didn't mind him but the coverage today is getting on my nerves, seems like the entire BBC news front page is dedicated to articles about him. Surely one or two is enough? Also why are people referring to his 'tragic' death? There's nothing tragic about popping it at 99, I'd be delighted with that!

Yeah, looks very similar to that one except with finer stitching at the edges. I like the coarse stitching at the edge of that one though.

Re: TVR Chimaera Thread

Wow, what a story. Fantastic that you were able to make contact with the previous owner and get more info and docs.

Did he expand on what happened in terms of the damage.

As a big TVR fan I'm very much looking forward to updates on this beauty so please don't scrimp on details.

How big is Putin's new place that the oligarchs built for him which isn't really his but is?

1.8 tons is also ridiculous, so with all the clever tech they have at their disposal they make it as heavy as a 20 year old M5.

Dave!
Isn't Harry's point that you need to think of it as an M5, and the M2 as the old M3?

I'm pretty pleased with the result, comfy too. Ordered it from a company called WatchObsession (purely because they had the style I...

Re: Strada magazine

I never read Modern Classics so that's fine by me. :) i said the same when it came out too. Putting a finite range on your subject matter is pretty crazy, especially when paper magazines are already on the way out. Spend 10 years working your way through the back catalogue then you can add the 2010...

Re: Harry’s Garage

I dislike the looks less after watching Harry's vid, the plate definitely helps disguise the ridiculous grille. I think an X-drive Touring version of that would make a pretty cool daily.

Re: Strada magazine

What more is there to say about history? Probably don't need any more books on that subject either. I thought that there was already a magazine that tried exactly what this one is doing (and failed?) - modern classics or something. There's only so many articles on the same cars people will be ...

Re: Strada magazine

Tempted to subscribe, for the sake of £30 it might be worth a look. Perhaps buying issue one and then subbing on the back of that is a wiser move.

Edit - Ordered one in the end, let's see if it's any good. :)

Re: The Watches Thread

Update on my Jobbo spec strap, I still like the look of it but I'm not finding it that comfortable. I've persevered thinking it would wear in a bit but it hasn't. Ordered my first Nato to give that a try. :)
