Re: For the FTAO of JL
3+1 or 1+3 should be a bit cheaper but it's still going to be well into 4 figures. But you should always get that back.

Re: For the FTAO of JL
I keep looking at 4-character plates but haven't yet seen one which is sufficiently relevant to me to buy. You've got to be a bit lucky I think. My wife has just bought JE11YCT because she is a big fan of Jellycat collectables. Which leaves me in a dilemma because we don't have a spare car for it to...

Re: Harry’s Garage
cooking spec 964s aren't that rare. I suspect they might be now - the last 911s which used the original body (OK, not the original original swb) so quite a few will have been modified to backdate them. I doubt anyone will be adding impact bumpers or 964 plastic valances to a bare shell in the futur...

Re: Today’s want
I like the wheels - they are so loosely copies of Fuchs that I don’t feel they are trying too hard to emulate them. I like them too. The only designs I don't like on the 992 are the standard 20"s on the T, I think. Although I prefer these ones which I'd probably spec if I were doing mine from ...

Re: Today’s want
What about MX5s? I would also chuck an Emira V6 in there. I don't think a 911 is top of the list, despite the fact I like them. I'm not going to rush into a purchase because I enjoy the process of choosing.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I posted this on the PH thread but since the Theon is being discussed here I'm adding it too, as well as a link to the 911 I'd buy (which I've already stuck in the wanted thread): https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsche-911-carrera-s-my22-preowned-EQMXPE The bespoke front sidelight/indic...

Re: Today’s want
I have had this 992 open in a tab since I test drove one. I liked it at first but I'm starting to love it: https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB/details/porsche-911-carrera-s-my22-preowned-EQMXPE https://i.imgur.com/rj6Woc0.png https://i.imgur.com/6iPdGjJ.png Test driving an Alpine A110 on Thursday th...

You buy the front plate, I'll buy the back one. Makes it just £200 each.

My wife came out as I was looking in the garage for the power tool batteries and told me to put the roast on. Turned out the Casio watch doesn’t automatically switch for the hour change

Re: Your fleet running reports
It’s nearly a year since I got my S6. About 24k miles done. I’ve discovered that you can turn off the lane keep assist by holding down the button at the end of the indicator stalk - I knew that turned on and off the lane following function when using adaptive cruise (single press) but had no idea it...

Re: Hive mind: opinion on this polo
That Polo looks good but expensive - it’s still 18yrs old so just as likely to strand the darling child due to a random fault like an old coolant pipe splitting as a car which has been used more regularly. Should at least avoid things like engine rebuilds.

Re: Jobbo interior
It took me a second look to realise it’s not just tan, it’s two tone tan. That was probably a very expensive option when new. Whoever ordered it was probably very disappointed.
Hope our purple interior ordered unseen doesn’t arrive filled with regret - I doubt it

I don’t mind the hoover stripes. That tan interior though; hideous.

Re: Your fleet running reports
John, remind me - is that a current shape MX5? I had thought that was my safest option for running costs and reliability (against an A110 and a 992) but I’m not sure I like these stories. Maybe another mk1 would be the right answer
