Re: Your fleet running reports
I booked the M2 in for a big service - BMW wanted £1190... thankfully my local Indy was better at a (still pretty massive) £860... ///M tax - reassuringly expensive! Ouch. RR service last week was £660 for its minor and I was told next year is "a big one" :? Is the M2 on an annual or bi-a...

Re: The Weather Thread.
I soaked my shoes last night pushing a Polo through a foot of water - takeaway delivery driver had taken a route that he shouldn’t, hit the water at a fair rate and killed the car. Gave him a lift back to his restaurant. The general public are clueless when it comes to floods. Yup. What I enjoy hav...

Re: The Weather Thread.
I drove back from Harwich to N.Yorks last night and it was bloody hateful. Took me 6hrs as the A1 was properly flooded in places. Knackered cars all over the place, crashes, etc.
I spend my life whizzing around the country and I've never seen the A1 like that before. It was nuts.

Re: 25 Years
Wasn't/isn't the mk1 focus hailed as the car that redefined how well a cooking hatch drove and looked? The escort it replaced was awful and blobby. Yeah, it forced Vauxhall to make the Astra less of a massive piece of shit, too, because compared to the Escort it wasn't much cop, compared to the Foc...

Re: Miller and Carter
As Jobbo mentioned, they are variable. I've eaten at a few and they've ranged between rubbish and really good. I tend to avoid now. I'm in Edinburgh this weekend and am going to Gaucho.I was going to do a fine dining experience but the rugby has changed that. Time for an early dinner and find a pub ...

No smoker involved this time but got a nice on the bone piece of belly pork from the butcher's and slow roasted it. Did some yourshires too. Best crackling that I've done. It was awesome!! Re: Your fleet running reports
One of my guys left the business a couple of weeks ago so I collected his car from him in Glasgow. He had a 69 plate BMW X1 18 S-drive m-sport and I had pretty low expectations. Happy to say it's been great though. We had a Yeti years ago and I loved that, and this feels like that kind of thing. Loa...

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Doesn’t everyone? I don’t like his delivery but I started to actively dislike him when he made all that stupid fuss about wanting to buy a Ferrari (IIRC) which went up to standard. He wasn’t ripped off, he just made a real tit of himself about it. I tried watching some of his stuff but he's beyond ...

Maybe cannabis will be legalised by then to take up its place... No idea if it's a good idea or not and perhaps it'll be another thing for gangs to deal. Also doesn't sit right with me banning it outright, you can look at alcohol and obesity related deaths and then start banning things related to t...

A lot of those speed bumps have really rough edges from everyone straddling them. I'm sure that's what it'll be.

Re: Your fleet running reports
@Rich B ooft - any signs of feathering on the tread? Or is it running excessive -ve camber on the rear? Dunno, it's fairly even wear across the rest of the tyre, then the inner shoulder completely fucked. The other side is the same. There's clearly something misaligned that's causing it - it's not ...

Re: 4G router
I know 5G is here but I only want something cheap for a few months. Having just cancelled Virgin fibre after the end-of-contract 150% price rise I need a router with no commitments and a 4G one with PAYG data SIM seems the way to go; I won't be gaming or anything like that, may watch a bit of Youtu...
