X-type valued at £400 trade in or about a grand if I tried to sell it myself.

Poor old girl, I didn't have the heart to tell her, although I think she knew something was up because her 'normal' burning oil smell when stationery was slightly stronger than normal. That's her crying, that is.

Go to bed last night at half past nine. Any reason why so early? Just couldn't be fucked with the world generally. And yes, I am thinking I need to get a change up in my meds. The citalopram is great for the anxiety, useless for motivation/energy/feeling like life is worth wasting my time with/inse...

Fleabag Never watched the first series. No idea why. Having watched Killing Eve last year though we've been watching this second series and really enjoying it. Very funny. Binged both series last week and I thought it was a lovely little show, final ep of second series genuinely had me tear up. Act...

Re: Which Boxster to get?

That was the case with this car. Part ex’d at a Porsche dealer then passed down the line.

One marvellous thing I have discovered is that you can look up any car’s MOT history if you gave the reg number. Discounted quite a few supposed bargains!

Re: Which Boxster to get?

You should be able to get a 3.2 S for that (plus the sat nav's been replaced with a chav spec edition and the rubberised coating is peeling off the centre console switchgear. You can do better I think. On the upside it does have Bose, heated seats and the sports steering wheel which are all nice op...

Similar kinds of pricing at the older end (2006 ish) - one or two private sales or Knockers and Snatch esque dealers selling for sub £10k.

Re: Which Boxster to get?

I've owned a 986 2.7, a 986 3.2 S and a 987 3.4 S in the past. The first developed an oil leak, the second lunched the engine at 11,000 miles and the 987 S was faultless. (All in new car warranty - I was told that the replacement short engine would have been about 12,500 + VAT + fitting otherwise :...

Re: Which Boxster to get?

987 3.2 is the correct choice. The 2.7s actually sound better (particularly the whine on the overrun) but are simply too slow. The 987 2.7 my father had was always slightly frustrating when you had to navigate around other traffic (i.e. overtake) whereas the 3.2 I owned was significantly torquier a...

987 S 3.4 appears to have the worst reliability record. So either 987 3.2 (pretty) or 986 3.2 (best vfm).

Don’t ignore me :P
Ah this is good advice. Ta. The 2.7 not worth a look then?
