Re: Royal Family

Jesus - just back from a day of funeral stuff for an old friend to read this. I thought it was just normal ‘women stuff’ she was going through. God love her. 42 years old and going through this. Bless her heart ❤️ Normal woman stuff is not serious abdominal surgery. As soon as that initial statemen...

Re: EV Thread

Parkers must be showing old data - BMW’s own site shows the new shape 530e to be 2080kg. The new 520i non-hybrid is 1800kg. I did wonder if Parkers simply wasn't up to date. So the new 5 phev is 300kg heavier than the outgoing model? I assume that's a bigger battery then and more like a proper phev...

Pretty impressive being able to inflate those dumper tyres with it
Trick of perspective - it’s actually 1.5m wide.

Re: EV Thread

530 is a phev now as is the merc e300 at 2210kg. I'm not here to argue on the internet just pointing out it's not any heavier than an ICE equivalent. Yeah the 530e at 1770 is what Parkers list - I e. the phev. I don't really care as they all weigh far too much imo, but I feel I have to be all Rich ...

Re: EV Thread

They only sell hybrids 530's in the UK at 2080kg your figures are US market. At 1910kg the RWD Inonic6 is not noteworthy of being heavy for a car of its size. ETA they are similar in size 5m long, 3m wheelbase and 2m wide. Parkers quotes the 330e at 1770kg, and 1540kg for the no longer available 53...

I ought to get one of these types really - I've a few Ryobi batteries now and am about to get some garage units to tidy everywhere up a bit, so it makes sense.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Now look what you've all made me do. Thought the Makita that Broccers posted looked pretty good, and I am fed up buying manual pumps and cheap 12v pumps that just break. My power tools are DeWalt so I have 3 batteries already - ah yes they do an inflator doo-dah too, and yes it is even more ...

Mother Hubbard’s in Worcester - I think they are a chain. First bite was a bit WTF, but they grew on me 😄 When I were a lad there was a Mother Hubbard's in Oldham and AFAIK it was the only one. Closed in the late 80s I think. Site had been all sorts since then, until some time in the 2000s when it ...

Re: Full Fibre

In fairness, most people don't need massive upload - even multiple teams calls is maybe 10-20mb/sec for the upstream side. I find synchronous useful as I'm regularly shuffling stuff up to remote servers, etc, and the down speed is handy for quickly grabbing ISOs, running updates, etc. Swerv, if you...

Re: Full Fibre

Switched just over a month ago to IDNet's Ultrafast 300 - £45/mo which is the same as we were paying for normal (slow) broadband beforehand. Getting about 70/50 on a 2.4GHz wifi connection or 150/50 on a 5GHz connection. We've found it much better for work as we often both work at home, with the wif...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Under the new priority system pedestrians always have right of way. The red man signal for pedestrians merely alerts them to the fact they should be more cautious. Technically under the new system traffic lights for pedestrians and pedestrian crossings are almost irrelevant as a pedestrian stepping...

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

That's as much disabled guy's fault really - he shouldn't be crossing on a red man signal should he? He clearly just thought "fuck the cyclist I'm going for it"

By the way, have Autotrader removed the feature that compares the price of the car you're looking at with others with similar mileage and also I can't find the price history anymore?
They've tried. But it still works for me on Firefox

Oh yeah and the rear wash doesn't work on the 135i, and apparently checking the motors is a wheel off, inner arch out, entire wing off job. Think I'll live with a mucky rear screen for now  I assume you've tried just cleaning the jets? :P I'm not getting a response from the motor when trying t...

Fra Eng game was great to watch. England threw it away though - with 4mins left on the clock why would you kick it to the opposition when you're ahead but only by 1pt?

I was worried it might be something like that. Not least as I have no fucking clue what that is  Anyway, it was much more straightforward. It just needed to be used. Phoned the parents on it last night, wondering if using it for more than just a quick "does it dial through to my mobile&quo...
