For the track? Maybe - check this out from 8.00 - bought standard gsxr 1000 2017 and took it racing after only a few mods - the whole vids good bar the music

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Was sat outside a pub in Buxton yesterday boiling to death with 2 of my mates. One has just passed his test and has a 600 with abs - he seems to think its better in all environments when it is not strictly true. For a newbie who didnt have bikes before when a kid he might rely on it too much rather ...

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

I want to buy a 17 gsxr when they drop to 10 and we will see if these electronics make for a better bike. The same as getting in an older, maybe slower, car without any nanny aids you feel more connected. Maybe I am getting old and these things baffle me but I get enjoyment from riding bikes - not s...

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Lets say you are like me and only ride on decent dry roads then I believe on a sports bike I can stop better. Your vid shows braking when going around a corner, not a good idea. :). For learners and newer riders I am confident it is a life saver as they panic.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Not really I always believed abs is crap on motorbikes. Happy to be wrong but for me when the front locks up you dont let go just ease off a touch then reapply - doing this in tests seems to show less distance required to stop.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

I'm capable of releasing the brake lever to unlock it ;) The only time I see it being of benefit is if you hit some gravel but then thats more to do with you looking where you are going than anything else. Ktm had it - wasnt impressed at all. Edit in some tests I read this morning non abs stops quic...

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Got to make the most of good days. WSB is a lot closer these days with the new rules and BSB continues to be a fantastic day with 2 races. Moto gp for me is a pain to watch as I dont have the ability to record bt sport, so same as Dave. Went to a few at Donington tho and that was amazing especially ...

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Im pretty sure sat outside a Matlock chippy my insides were cooking slowly. Alright on the go and the bike goes loads faster when wearing them - probably do a decent job if I fell / got skitled too. My textiles have all the winter shit in them and I figured itll be freezing again soon.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread

Unlucky on the crash :(

OMG how hot was it sat in leathers yesterday? I nearly melted - when back home they had welded themselves to my skin so not an easy job getting out. Other than that it was a fantastic few hours riding.

Only saw BSB on the box JL - always entertaining. 8-) 8-)

Re: Your fleet running reports

VW fixed my door seal and sprayed the rusty disk hubs a weird siver. Wind noise gone. I prefer having the estate and dsg on these. As an allrounder you can't go wrong. Had a drive from Masham over the tour of yorkshire cycle race course down to Skipton and it was most fun. I pity those boys on their...
