Re: People who...
Random bump.... I have a meeting with a potential client tomorrow and they want to use Teams. I've just downloaded the latest version of the Teams client and for the life of me can't find a "test mic and speaker" button anywhere. In fact there's hardly any options at all once you're in it ...

Re: Prince Philip
We very rarely watching anything live on TV, but I couldn't believe the BBC in particular over these last 24 hours. Even things like delaying broadcast of radio shows?? I turned on the BBC News this morning and was informed by a reporter standing in front of an aircraft carrier, that things were qui...

Re: The "anything & everything" about Porsche Boxsters thread
I've ended up ordering a valved version from Design911. I guess things would be different if it wasn't for Brexit and Covid, but choices are limited a bit with the timeframe I have. I'm not even sure if I can get the exhaust in time for the engine being out, so its a case of keeping the fingers cros...

Re: The "anything & everything" about Porsche Boxsters thread
What a PITA. I guess £250 isn't too bad in the scheme of things, could have been a lot worse. Tony Banks is a no on the exhaust... local place is a no... Carnewal is a no... So, looks like its back to the usual suspects - Top Gear, Milltek, Design Tek. Standard replacements seem to be about £800 and...

Same colour scheme as my 4.5 was, you'll enjoy it a load!

Re: Your fleet running reports
Good times... oil leak repaired by an indy (£130 v OPC initial look of £200); PASM & ABS working. I can finally start to enjoy the car properly. Less good times, but expected... need to adjust the timing belt & pads which is an engine-out job. I'll combine that with a new exhaust (which I ju...

Re: The "anything & everything" about Porsche Boxsters thread
Now I'm showing my total lack of car knowledge.
I'm after a cat-back system right, minus the tips? Which is basically replacement boxes and pipes down from the cats?
I see there's valved and non-valved ones, some are switchable, but what if I don't want any of that nonsense?

Re: The "anything & everything" about Porsche Boxsters thread
Car is back... ABS Wheel Sensor I bought from eBay was a dud, so nothing wrong with anything I did which is frustrating and a total waste of time and money given the last few weeks of no ABS. Oil leak looks like its the timing chain cap which appears to be a common seal, so fingers crossed nothing m...

Re: New new new new Top Gear
Have the vague comments about how bad it was to work on TG with Chris Evans ever been expanded-on? By Sabine or across the board? He was shouty but he always was, so not sure what the Beeb expected of him. This series was pretty good I thought. Far less oversteering pointlessly round an airfield wh...

That is very nice indeed. Like you say, a bit of a schlep to pick it up. I've never seen one that colour before.speedingfine wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 7:56 am https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1977-bmw-633-csi

Re: Your fleet running reports
Navara dog & horse wagon, now 8 years old, needed a new turbo and some exhaust bits & bobs, so that came back yesterday with a £950 bill. We took the opportunity to swap it for the Boxster which needs the wheel sensor issue sorted, a couple of headlamp levelling struts replaced and the oil l...

Really enjoyed reading that blog and seeing those pictures, but not the catalyst for all of it obviously! How can an official Ferrari dealership like Boardwalk Ferrari of Dallas get away with behaviour like that and not be held to account by Ferrari if nobody else?

I'm liking the look of this a lot. I love the proportions, those wing mirrors and the lines although the front bumper is maybe a bit fussy. https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1968-porsche-911-l-coupe https://collectingcars.imgix.net/003292/09-03-2021-rg-07.jpg?w=928&dpr=2&auto=format,compre...

Good to see there's lots of spoilers for the finale of Unforgotten all over social media and even news websites.
