Re: The (mainly city-focussed) anti-car movement

I don't even understand what the original tweeter's beef is about the Cycling UK tweet. It's just a competition to win a fancy bike of your choosing because that's what people will like. And the bit about the Range Rover is just further evidence of him being an utter bellend.

Re: First Cars - Insurance

Currently looking for my younger boy. He is 17 and getting to the stage where he wants a car to practice in. Cheapest so far is a classic mini but he hates them and budget fro something decent is way outside of his price range anyway. Quote for him passing at the moment would be about £2000 Tried a...

lol, how on earth do you know that?! Its April to August thankfully! I've had clients say their demolition has been delayed for a year due to missing the bat survey window - it sticks in the mind  Have found other advice that says Phase 2 surveys must be between May-September and there must be...

Re: Test drive report

992 sounds like an interesting buy (although I still wish they were a bit smaller). If you got one would you still want an MX5? Have I misread your post? :? It didn't feel big - incredibly easy to place on the road. I wouldn't write off the idea of a 911 because the 992 has got too big. MX5 is the ...

Re: Test drive report

Some very nice cars there 8-)

I've kind of lost track with Porsche as to what all the different models of 911 are now. Must have a mooch down to the local dealer at the weekend to see.

What are used values and depreciation like on "normal" models of 911 these days?

At least it sounds like you have a judge who is not going to take this BS for much longer Gavster I was speaking to an architect about our barn renovation today and when he could get up for a look, potential timelines etc. "Well, looking at the pictures, first thing I need to do is get a quote ...

I'm with Jobbo, I was all febrile at the expected gratuitous pictures of vintage music playing kit and have been left utterly disappointed.

Speaking of audio pr0n, I've just ordered this book: Jonny Trunk Audio Erotica

Re: It’s time for another forum cycle/vehicle disagreement

Was down the Borders running today and drove back over some nice single track roads which are popular with cyclists - I've ridden them a few times myself. Fvck me, do some cyclists really not want to concede an inch of road to let you overtake. They're blowing out their arse going up a hill 2/3 abre...

Sounds like you're nearly there and good to hear the judge is trying to move things quickly to what you'd hope will be a resolution.

55K is not surprising, but what a kick in the nuts to end up not getting any of it back given what you're expecting to happen.

It was the same here, the audience was very quiet when it finished. I think I'm right in saying that the third part is definitely going to happen which makes sense as the end of part 2 clearly felt more like an intermission than a finale.

Fuckin' Helmsdale! Nicely out of the way, that, but close enough to inversneckie to allow visits to actual civilisation, at least as much as Inverness can offer :D I was waiting for your reaction  Yeah, we can still easily get on a train or plane from up there to Inverness or more likely Edinb...

Managed to get in to see that house which popped up for sale. 500 mile round trip with some fun twisty bits at the end of it, came back, put an offer in and its been accepted. They have some summer bookings in July, so will aim to settle at the end of that month and will start moving stuff up to th...
