Re: Cat D cars

I think I’d want to know what the accident was! Though tbh, you could say the same of any used car - plenty have been involved in accidents and repaired without any evidence (and even some new cars).

Re: Primary school shenanigans

”you guys”???! You’re in that bracket too matey! No he isn't. I'm going to give Rich the benefit of the doubt and assume that he's just saying that I equally love to make up a reason to have an argument, which is sort of true although I prefer to encourage others to argue so that I can watch. ;) wh...

Re: Primary school shenanigans

 You guys love to make up a reason to have an argument. I just find the universe fascinating, I don't believe anything one way or another other than that no human being knows or can know one way or another at this stage in our development. Things tend towards order, and logic, which in itself ...

JLv3.0 wrote: Thu Apr 19, 2018 8:40 am No that isn't good enough. We need to know what make, model, specification, mileage and accessories we should be targeting for the 500 quid. It's a perfectly simple request and I feel that you're just not taking it seriously enough.
Ferrari, F40, European spec, 13,335 miles, no options.

Re: The £500 car for a stag do challenge

Just go on eBay/AT/etc and do a search up to £500 - it’s not as though you can be fussy and hold out for the exact model you want to come up for the money and timeframe needed. An old ex-funeral stretched ford Scorpio/Vauxhall senator would be good, but unless you have 6 months to find one, you may ...

Admit it, RIch, you were just trying to get Shocky to flounce again.
No point, he’d just go back on his word and come back again.

The schools in my area don’t have a say in the allocation according to their admissions policies - all done by the councils.

Lots of nice examples of accepting atheists and not being too bothered here, but isn’t the point of this thread that Dave! would have had to prove he attended church to get his kiddie into the first option listed?

Re: The Watches Thread

i don’t know anything about watches, but can’t see the aesthetic similarity? The first two have VERY similar shape case/lugs, the LLD doesn’t have much in common with either? The lugs are the complete opposite in terms of the way they curve? Hecla https://farm1.staticflickr.com/893/27648533548_d286e...

PreacherCain wrote: Tue Apr 17, 2018 4:48 pm Yeah - it's like the '60s and '70s never left. I always rather liked the Supercompressor case design, it's nice to see a modern revival. The only other one I can think of offhand is the Longines Legend Diver, and the hands on that give me hives.
i Googled that - it looks nothing like it?

Re: Car/window stickers?

Can we just have some plain “OV9” jobbies ? I’d be up for a couple at least. Just put your old Evo stickers on the other side of the glass. This. I'm still not sure if the aim of this was to retain some kind of link to the EVO forum, or whether the idea was to completely distance it from the mag. T...

“All performing the same irrespective of watch brand” isn’t necessarily true of bought-in movements - ETA certainly make their movements available in different levels of finish and feature set (standard, elaboré, top and COSC certified, IIRC) and that’s before the manufacturer applies any of their ...

However, bad examples - no one buys a caterham for the engine (in fact they show no virtually allegiance to any specific engine in the range) On the contrary, 1/2 of Caterham discussion boards are full of discussion caused by allegiance to one engine or another. Ditto Lotus forums and again, it's g...
