Re: Auto heated screens.
Not sure how you’d do it on a petrol car which isn’t a hybrid, you’d have to use electric heaters and that will kill your 12v battery very quickly - unless they use block heaters but BMW don’t use them. I’m surprised they’re still fitting Webasto units to new diesels too what with the unfiltered ex...

Re: M3 Touring
Order has been updated and that's it done. It's down for build week 8 next year, with delivery to the dealer anywhere between 3 - 8 weeks after that depending who you speak to. OTR price is going up by just over 2K for next year, so if your order hasn't been accepted by the factory by the end of the...

Re: Auto heated screens.
Pre-heating would be a great feature. The M2 allows you to plan ventilation for a start time which I hoped might allow you to set to hot or cold, but all it does it fire the vents on max velocity at max coldness, so I'm not entirely sure I see the point of it! I'm hoping their smart features have co...

Re: Harry’s Garage
Have not felt so much envy for HM since his Zonda departed. That looked amazing. Fingers crossed Hethel can put them all out at that quality. He sums it up perfectly - it looks like a shrunken supercar, with styling evoking recent McLarens, Ferraris etc. The interior looks very impressive and reaso...

Possibly. It just strikes me as a lot of effort to go-to for a small profit. I'm really on work avoidance today and it looks like their retail is 10K and there's various sites selling new ones for 10-12k.

Re: Tyre inflator/air compressor
Useful timing, I'll get one of these ordered for my wife as she's destroyed two foot-pumps. There's one tyre with a faulty valve on the Navara and I think one of the others might have a poor seal with the rim which itself maybe needs reconditioned. So of course, I've been saying to take it to our me...

Re: Harry’s Garage
Yes, that's the frustrating thing @tim is that some of his stuff is really good, but he can't seem to help channeling some sort of caricature of 90s Clarkson at some point in each video.

Re: The Watches Thread
I still have a hankering for a Submariner date. I know, I know... I can't even explain it, let alone rationalise it, it's just always been a watch I've loved the look of. No way am I even considering one, but I did notice a couple like below where people are selling 2022 watches on collectingwatches...

Evri delivered something yesterday, on the day they were supposed-to and during the time slot they emailed me with. I genuinely can't remember them ever having managed that before.

You quickly get used to the slight size increase of 2/3 mm and they never look as big once you've got it on your wrist.

Will be interesting to see what this hits - at the time of typing it’s at £72500 (+6% fee of course, so £76850).

Re: The Movie Thread
I liked the invitation. Like I said before Troll was fun but it’s not a film you’ll remember. Yeah, it was pretty enjoyable. Which I meant to finish that post with but clearly forgot. Just something very likeable about it and felt contemporary as well as being a bit gothic too. After the Brazil gam...

Re: The Movie Thread
It’s nowhere near as good as Troll Hunter. Think the 90’s holywood Godzilla compared to Shin Godzilla. Well that's a kick in the balls for tonight's post-footy plans. We watched The Invitation over the weekend which is a pretty standard horror movie, nothing special, but solid enough and had a real...

We don't have a regular Evri driver here so he'll be getting hee haw. Even if we had a regular one, they seem unable to deliver anything on time, so there would be no tip.
DPD Stevie on the other hand will be getting some chocolates and beers as he's a star.

Re: Being burgled
Just the once, when my wife might have left the patio doors unlocked... They took her laptop and the M5. Our house backs on to a field, so it was easy pickings for them - we've since put a bit of a fence on top of the stone dyke way to deter them. We did have someone trying the front door and car do...

Other option I keep coming back to is a dark blue or purple. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2931851&stc=1&d=1657918187 Then I found this list of current invidicual colours on actual customer cars and I'm starting to feel like Jack Nicholson in The Shining . All...

Re: M3 Touring
Apologies if I've missed it, which interior have you gone for? I could see either of the ones shown in the last couple of "but I keep looking at this colour" pics working :) I've gone for the red leather interior which I thought would go well with the dark blue. Black would be very dark.....

Re: M3 Touring
If you go for that blue, don't you have to get the blue interior too? Evokes the old E46: https://thumbsnap.com/sc/q8jtFpTy.jpg That colour always makes me think of the E46, Laguna Seca isn't it? I'm sure I've read BMW won't allow you to spec that on the current M3/M4, maybe they have a limited-run...
