Re: New Car

List sounds the same as what goes wrong on pretty much every 10+ year old car. At least the gt still looks good while it's sat broken, unlike most. I saw a white 11 reg one today - had to look twice at it as the colour softens the lines of it and I wasn't sure it was a GT at first Don't think I've ...

Re: NC500 - becoming too busy?

The NC500 is really good, but for pure driving roads, there are better, less known parts of Scotland, just no one has organised a round route to link them up, then marketed it 😉 It's like the next 'EVO Triangle' seemingly ........and as you say there are better, less known roads to drive on ....in ...

The offside engine mount on my old R53 MCS was oil-filled.

Failed at about 6 years old but like comfort module and thermostat housing was replaced free under goodwill

Like a G6?

I'll be very interested to have a go in one just to see what it's like. Same here, I've enjoyed the Minis I've had https://i.imgur.com/sQtVuHI.jpg ”If we could have rear-wheel drive for this generation we wouldn’t, because what we have is a better system,” Jochen Schmalholz, BMW’s 1 Series product ...

How long before the 3 Series goes FWD ?? I’ll have a little cry when that happens.
Be interesting to see if Merc followed suit if they did.....plus would Alfa end their brief flirtation with rwd

Bit before my time. 205 T16 was ‘my’ Group B car.

Love the seats.
Fantastic 8-)

Bang in the middle of my time

Such a great car to drive

I would love a proper 400 given a lottery win and more garaging

That's right Simon, that was in CAR.

Plus again in TOP GEAR with a Cerbera thrown in ( some nice photography in that article too )

Re: New Supra

For me it needs to be up against the M4 and some new TVR as that's what I remember the old hoop-ass one being compared to in the mags. I doubt I'd buy one ever as I just prefer the old way of changing gears and I'd probably enjoy a secondhand 370Z more or a 135 coupe/M240i as they'll be cheaper soon...

Re: FAO Super Sideways Sierra

I remember trying the local dealer's demo back in the late 90s. They got good reviews and they let me take one out on my own being as I turned up in the Sierra ( unlike Shrewsbury Peugeot dealer with their 106Gti demo - wouldn't even entertain a test drive without a deposit! Had to go to Wolverhampt...

Re: Wrong spellings and words

I like it when they use the wrong word, but still a real word, and it changes the meaning. For some reason the one that sticks in my mind was when somebody said you should "use Greece" when fitting a part. Definitively or defiantly work well for this instead of definitely . Defiantly this...
