Re: Coaster/YK

Must admit, I'm hurting from him passing away today. Back from the days of him owning a Corrado we used to PM each other quite often. Then when he was training to be a train driver, he visited Ipswich and we finally met up. In typical YK fashion, he instantly insisted that I drive his ITR! We must h...

Re: No F1 thread?

If you go round the outside, you're taking a risk. You took the risk too early on and it didn't pay off. He could have probably easily have overtaken George later on in the sprint race, so no sympathy for Verstappen on this one. This plus all his whining about his dislike for sprint races, he's not ...

Re: EOTR: Alfa 4C

Not mentioned above, but I really regret not doing more with it. I've had an incredibly busy few years with work, and I've not had the time nor inclination to do anything else. Alas, the opportunity for an easy sale, plus house stuff, job changes and other personal circumstances meant it was worth ...

Walkers are releasing two new limited edition Sensations flavours 'King Prawn Cocktail' and 'Regal Lamb & Mint' for the coronation. Assuming there's quite a few crisp eaters on here so thought it's important you knew before everyone else  I wasn't particularly fussed about the coronation, ...

This. Think I've only seen fleeting glimpses of the 4C, not been lucky enough to sit in the drivers or passenger seat of one!

The insurance on my CRF250 Rally was £120 last year, down to £77 this year...I'll take that

All of my bikes are now under £80 each a year to insure now...guess that's the benefits of being old and having slow bikes...

I was thinking this morning, if you want an everyday car that gets driven all times of year (particularly winter gritted roads) and for it to last longer than 25 years, than an alu or CF body might be a good idea

@scotta @Marv That was a great day 8-) (although I can't find pics on the phone that I was sure I took at Glenshee). Was it that day we encountered two separate but notable buffoons on the A939 Lecht Road who were desperate to demonstrate how fast they were? The Vectra 4-up with a knackered rear da...

911 R is still the most powerful I've driven, in terms of BHP the engine is producing.

Yamaha MT-09 felt faster though...think that's still the most powerful bike I've ridden.

Re: Auf Wiedersehen Golf (EOTR)

Yep, owned since new. I wonder if the Alfa 156 would have lasted as long as 22 years, if I didn't write it off it after 6 months of ownership? Only big-ish items with the Golf were the DMF needed replacing due to broken springs at about 110,000 miles. A load of the wiring for the aircon needed...
