Re: Fucking redundant again!

Forgive my potential naivety but if you're working notice surely you should be being paid as per normal (contract terms assuming)?

Only times I've heard of "pay-off" is when the person isn't working their notice.

Re: Merge General & Cars

I missed out in the 90s - it was sold out by the time I got on my lunchbreak and had managed to leg it across Market St in Manchester to get to the ticket office (those were the days eh? When you had to physically queue to get tickets) Saw them in the early '00s though, and thought they were shite. ...

I don't know, was he?
No. But Kiedis was. Flea has been in a ton of films though

It's glorious, again, up here in the grim rainy north. I think a bit of rain on Friday is about all we've had in May so far.

I tried to look up the C300 on Merc's website, but nevermind (see Pisch's moaning thread). What's the spec?

You can carry a healthy amount of speed on the A30. So someone told me.

Heads up. Beck live at 9pm on BBC4 and then slightly delayed coverage of Orbital at 10pm (you can stream them live on BBC website/iplayer at 9.10pm if you're not bothered about Beck)

Re: Seeing harrowing things

I exploded a pigeon once with a mk2 Clio. Now that was proper messy. I mean, we're talking "I need to get the car washed now and hope that no one at the car wash phones the police thinking I've been in a hit and run" messy. Mind, not as messy for me as it was for the chap behind with the o...

Re: What haven't you done

Never been skiing / snowboarding anywhere 'proper'. Never even been a passenger in a Ferrari. Never owned a V12. Never driven Cadwell Park. Cracking track 8-) . You'd love it I'm sure. For me the trickiest bit was always Coppice - never did nail it and it's where so much time is gained/lost. Hall B...

Re: The neighbours

Our adjoining neighbours are monumentally old and Scotch. They watch Who Wants to be a Millionaire on 18hr repeat at what has to actually be an amplified volume - I fail to believe any normal TV goes that loud. They're pretty nice though, and the fact they're deaf as posts is probably good given the...

330 booked in for the recall that's been all over the news. Hopefully after 12yrs and 108k miles it won't suddenly decide to burst into flames in the next month while it waits to be done.

Ta muchly ste.

Yeah I was fairly meticulous with the application of the clips, but to no avail. Fairly schit if they can't cope with the relatively mild warm weather that we get over here.

Double-sided Tape

Anyone recommend any that will stick well to plastic, but which could be removed if needs be and not leave any marks?

The self-adhesive clips for the BMW sunblinds in the 3 can't cope with the recent warm weather so keep coming unstuck.

Yeah he's never really been a petrolhead but is into tech and engineering. He had his application accepted to be on a Greenpower race team and he's been helping to build an electric racecar and recently completed his first drive of it at a test day at Dunsfold. He's now going to be racing it at Goo...

Yeah I liked Deadpool tbh and will watch the sequel - I just like to try and act cool on here to impress you lot  It's ok to like Deadpool. It a film for adults. Not like the most of the rest of the fairly turgid Marvel yawn-fests. It definitely shows that Renolds has an unhealthy obsession wi...
