Chainsawing. a ship?

Apparently yes you can.

Although there's no good close up video of it in action that I've been able to find.

Re: Decent Recent TV

Tales from the Loop trying to be a moody Xfileish Stranger thingsish Sci -Fi-y mystery. Found the first episode infuriatingly slow and the faux Vangelis melody irritating. Inside No9 have very nearly finished watching all the series of this over the last few months. Just fantastic TV, not much levi...

Restarted and went back with the bigger 4WD truck. Nearly made it to the log kiosk after crawling through the lake.

Where's it stopping? Not loading or are you getting to the company splash screen? It started no problem for me.

Re: Decent Recent TV

I watched the first series of His Dark Materials, the other day. I really liked it but I’m not sure how much you’d get out of it if you’re not a fan of the books. I thoroughly enjoyed His Dark Materials season 1 knowing nothing about it really. Then went and listened to the Audiobook (also very goo...

Re: Redundancy

Upsides - today was bloody beautiful once the fog lifted and the USAF took the day off from exercises so it was mostly peaceful. I also clocked 25,000 steps without feeling like some part of me was in significant distress by the end. Downsides - encountered my first bonafide douchenozzle. On part of...

Re: Isn't science clever...

So is this why on V configurations they sometimes stick an X-pipe in? The 2 streams of exhaust gas cancel out the resonance? Not ever having had the chance to play with X pipes I haven't given them much thought. I imagine at least two effects can occur. 1. The exhaust flow will be effected by which...

Re: Elite Dangerous

It's currently £4.99 on Steam. Must be worth paying that to not have yet another gaming client on the PC? Worth having both Epic (for the freebies) & Steam, IMO. I set neither to start automatically with Windows. Have grabbed Elite but not sure it will compete with the BBC version :D I have abo...

Re: Isn't science clever...

You know the most amazing bit - the fact that you downloaded an app for your phone and that was what gave you the data to make the resonator. Measuring equipment was always interesting in my engineering days. Just using your phone, fucking hell. The prices of the sensors included phones does make &...

Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy

Tried it. Failed to cook them through, even trying to cook them slowly so as not to burn the base. Resorted to making them into flat pancakes cooked on both sides. Sorry should have been explicit that I cook them both sides on the pan. To get the same "holey" top as a store bought they pr...

No wonder a poor NVH engineer can't get any work

Well done on doing the numbers.

You bastard.

That's a lot of volume and a long neck so super effective for your chosen frequency.

Phase 2 is to package that all circumferential to the main pipe. 8-)

Or just fvck the rings off and make pikelets 8-) Here's the entrance to the fried cake nomenclature rabbit hole. Pikelets? Self raising flour, egg and milk (my favourite addition if a big splodge of greek yoghurt and some extra baking soda to use that acid to rise) Flapjacks (not some weirdar...

Re: Elite Dangerous

Bit under 24hours to grab the freebie, after that it'll probably star at around £5 on Steam.
I might've grab myself 3 alts. Kinda fun to be back in the small ships.

Re: Marmite Peanut Butter Crunchy

Love peanut butter, I fondly remember being able to get it freshly ground at some places. I could run home to put the still warm butter onto hot toast. Marmite is like some weird not right version of Vegemite. I am far more deeply disturbed by evidence of the mixing of peanut butter and jam though. ...
