Re: Your fleet running reports

You can borrow my throttlebodies and emerald ecu if you like Tim for even more noise and little performance benefit  I keep having these flashbacks to when I had my Caterham post-Academy and doing all sorts of stuff to it. But that was a 1.6 and slightly less shit. It would be amusing to put o...

Mistral Metallic Maurice Jaguar XJ8 3.2 MOT Failure Edition Hi guyths... oh fuck that. So I parked it up on a trickle charger Saturday after I got Gerald the 45 home and I thought every few days until I can get it booked in I'll start it and warm it up. Except it wouldn't today. It kept turning ove...

Good luck!
The issues aren't massive, but unfortunately it's an engine out job to do it properly. And I wanted it done properly as the rest of the car, beyond some minor cosmetic stuff, is mechanically really good.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Don't forget it's basically Honda Integra underneath. ;) Exactly that. Simple engine with Honda stuff around it. I think I will probably keep it over winter at least, even if the Jag is done by then, because it'll likely be an easier drive if we get a dump of snow. A/C even works, as does the sunro...

Re: Your fleet running reports

With a condemned from the road Jag and no other way of getting the kids around I really did have to source and buy a car on a Saturday afternoon. I thought about just hiring the cheapest car I could find but even that is getting for £30/day and with an unknown timescale for getting the Jag booked in...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Galaxy completed journey from home to my dad's in Copenhagen without issue (about 500-something miles). Been spending my day charging round trying to get a Torx50 so I can take the seats out, as the little one vomited copiously as we were waiting for the ferry in Dover. Sometimes it's just e...

That was tremendous! Loved it.

Might just be my ears but it sounded like you're bumping into the rev limiter a fair bit before changing up?

Cos, y'know, Armchair expert. :)

I put £50 of "that E10 crap" in the Jag lunchtime. Not much of a queue in Harleston and had the girl who eventually put £12 in and then did a weekly shop while she was there pulled actually up to a pump instead of waiting at the entry of the forecourt, there would have been almo...

Re: Petrol the new toilet roll

There was a guy on the local Ascot group getting all aggro because there was a classic car auction on at the racecourse on Sunday (very big, well publicised event), and that they clearly should have cancelled it because people were coming to ascot and taking all the petrol from the local petrol sta...
