Re: Do not open this message. Private.

Why is there no "all of the olives" option? This. Absolutely this. This. Absolutely, positively this. Also kalamata thanks... BUT ALL OF THE OLIVES. Which reminds me of a fave lunchtime meal - tomatoes, green, black and kalamata olives, capers all chopped up with some olive oil and lemon ...

Re: Coronavirus

There's strong evidence to suggest repeated exposure to the various variants can also have a cumulative effect on individual's health too. So while each infection may appear mild, the after effects that linger can start to add up and make the impacts of another infection more serious. I'm entirely g...

Re: Your Coffee Machine Running Reports

If it's bitter, it's more than likely shit coffee. Most are over-roasted. That's true for cheap coffee, however excessive bitterness can also be caused by the grind size being too small or dose too high I wouldn't know when it comes to machines tbh. Obviously using a stove top you tend to use the f...

Re: Your Coffee Machine Running Reports

We just upgraded from a Bialetti stove top to a Breville Barista Express BES870. I'll be honest I found the instructions impenetrable like I have ADHD or something so it sat unused for the first two weeks we had it while I blamed that on still having plenty of pre-ground espresso for the stove top l...

Re: Has anyone got a printer that isn't shit?

My father has a Brother mono laser printer at home which absolutely chews through toner. Ihave to get him a new high-capacity toner cartridge approx every 3 months. I doubt your usage would be quite as high though, Neil, and the toner cartridges are only about £35 delivered. Seems to be reliable an...

He was a bit of a Playboy Miles Davis - I didn't really realise until I watched the great documentary on him on Netflix. I was a bit of a latecomer to appreciating his music.

Re: Mental hill climb onboard

They ought to put that in GT7. It would rock to have a few hillclimbs in there. Pikes Peak too.

I suspect you'd be sweating bullets just trying that on a SIM let alone real life. Awesome stuff.

Re: Has anyone got a printer that isn't shit?

Brother laser printer here. Works great.

Edited to add, no BS issues with connectivity regardless of frequency of use, but main devices that use it are wired to it via ethernet.

Re: Lego

I received the Jazz Quartet set for Xmas, built it up on the 27th and it was really enjoyable. Wanted to re-make the drum set to be more accurate for what a jazz drummer would play, but cleverly each figure and the instruments are anchored to or within the stage. Means if I do change to setup, I hav...

Re: Multi camera angles

When I was dicking about with 4k footage in Adobe Premier, you could set the preview to a much lower res, to help with situations like this. You only only need to render the final output to 4k. That's a valid point. Also re: cloud stuff, unless you're working on genuine movie making spec IT and sof...

Pretty tempting to be honest... I think I'd ultimately miss the RWD of the 86 but I suspect it is better across the board everywhere else.

Re: What sausages?

For many, many years, sausages have been one of the few things I've missed about the UK. NZ sausages are fecking awful by comparison. However, recently either my standards have dropped or I've found decent stuff. Pork and fennel from one particular brand at the supermarket, or I just scored some wag...

Re: Multi camera angles

It really is a surprise! My background is stills and graphics, not video, so I’m learning. It’s only ~1 year since I first filmed and edited a TikTok in 4K and discovered how chunky the footage is! This has come about because I want to put some YT vids up. If it wasn’t for that I’d be more than hap...

Re: Multi camera angles

Quiet chortling as I read this... I'm genuinely surprised, that as a media creator, the need for a ferking great machine to edit multicam footage came out of the blue to you. I don't think I've been to any of my colleagues/peers offices or homes without there being a corner of it running something a...
