Re: Bye Bye Boris!

I'd take Boris over a never ending lockdown  Be fair, they haven't been in lockdown for a year. they've just been very strict with their borders. And I'd take the 10.58 deaths per million of NZ's over the UK's 2,274.41 any day of the week, and I'm pretty sure the people who buried friends and ...

Re: Bye Bye Boris!

At the time of the elections, even though I knew he was a bumbling buffoon, I really rather hoped that somewhere within him, there might be a glimour of Churchill, someone who could take command of a trying situation and excell, rather than meander through the day to day runnings of a Country. This ...

Re: Coronavirus

Back on topic, my daughter has just tested positive for the 2nd time. She feels OK at the moment, just a runny nose for now. What has struck me though, is how different we as a family feel. We've gone from being terrified at maybe dying or being hospitalised, to being annoyed that we can't get on. T...

Re: Mountain Biking general thread

I depends how long you're out for and how susceptible you are to the cold I guess. Some nights we'd be out on the plain for 3+hours and my hands and ears would suffer. My feet and everything else are fine (in fact, I wear shorts all year round on the bike). Others would suffer cold legs or arms, but...

Re: Mountain Biking general thread

After 15 or so years riding in all weather, I have yet to find a glove that keeps my hands warm on a long winter ride that still allows enough dexterity to change gears and hang on through technical trails. If I were just riding fire roads or A to B, I suspect winter mittens are the way to go. But I...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Dave! Your 500E looks amazing. Never sell it and enjoy! Boring Auris (nee Corolla) update: I'm using this to teach my eldest to drive. She's not the cause of this, but whilst practicing parking the other day, I could hear a groaning squeak from the N/S front suspension. As it was due an oil service,...

Re: Coronavirus

The answers to all questions are out there. And again 😂 😂 😂 Yeah, I've looked and there's not one that can't be debunked. Trouble is, when you reveal your source of debunking, "They" have been paid off by big pharma companies to say that. It's like trying to prove water is wet. Is it thou...

Re: Coronavirus

Is this one true? https://twitter.com/PeterSweden7/status/1483086803091566596 Or in other words, I know this isn't true as it's not been announced by any major news stations yet, only this fucking crackpot, but I'm desparately trying to stir shit so... Why don't you look it up yourself? You know, D...

Re: Coronavirus

The problem is that the anti vaxxers have created this problem. They're not happy to just not get jabbed, they're desperate to be oppressed. If you're in a job where it should be common sense that you need to be vaccinated then either get vaccinated or get another job. Obviously this doesn't includ...

Re: Coronavirus

What extra power they didn't have before have they actually achieved from this? It's fucking mind boggling isn't it? It really does smack of flat earth, in that they would always say ''they want you to believe it's a globe" to which you reply, what difference would it make if it was flat? What...

Afterlife series 3 is absolutely terrific. I can see this lasting for years like Fawlty Towers has, as it applies to any generation. Superb.

Re: The Movie Thread

The Father Anthony Hopkins plays a proud man going through dementia. Its shown through his eyes and his families simultaneously. Utterly spellbinding performance from Hopkins. It was exhausting to watch in that you felt all of his confusion and frustration, so it's terrifying to think any one of us...

Re: Decent Recent TV

Did anyone on here catch Anne? Fuck me, one of the toughest T.V programmes I've ever watched. Such a tragic, wretched story. Unforgivable corruption, but brilliantly told and acted. Maxine Peake will win every award going for this.

Re: Novax Novak

So at the very least, as he has shown scant regard for the regulations surrounding a positive or potentially positive test, he's proven himself to be a liability to the state and should be horsed out - Tennis or not Quite. If you don't want the vaccine, fine. If you don't belive it's as bad as peop...

Re: Novax Novak

There's a timeline of his movements on the BBC today. Took a PCR on the 16th, went to an awards show the same day without getting the results back, PCR confirms he has Covid at 8.00pm on the 16th. The 17th he went to a kids presentation where he handed kids trophies and shook their hands, 18th he we...

Re: Coronavirus

So we're a few weeks after Xmas and everyone didn't die. Must be the jabs or something 😃 What an opposed Word we live in. On one hand, we have Broccers mocking the vaccine and masks, claiming they're largely unnecessary, and on the other hand, we have people calling for the Governments head as they...

Or just reduce the impact of having the virus?
I always understood it was to reduce the impact, i.e. keep you out of hospital. The transmission reduction was just a bonus.
