Re: Would you buy a car purely on EVO recommendation?
The problem is you can't really experience the driving dynamics of a car on a typical test drive anyway, so for the most part need to rely on what other people say and Evo is about the most credible.

Re: WhatsApp tinfoil hats
Based on this article it sounds like as I'm already part of the Facebook system it will make very little different to my data security (or to anyone else with a FB / IG account). I just hope they don't start messing around with the interface and adding 'stories' and other crap into it. https://www.t...

Re: PH_Evo - Recent Post
Did Evo actually promote the forum in those days? Looks like there's more people at those meets than there are active posters now! And can someone tell me what IFG was? I asked shortly after I joined and just got abuse for being a noob  The mag pretty much ignored us from the outset, it was a ...

Re: Near Honiton and looking for a mower?
Blah blah blah blah :) The price is creeping up https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mountfield-SP53H-High-Wheel-Petrol-Lawn-Mower-10-months-old-/373427971460?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292 I'll guess it will go for £140 - just because it's a nice round doubling of the amount it was when I first looked at Mi...

June 2007 was when I joined. I think this year I'll pass half my life being an evo forum member.

Re: The Watches Thread
ETA: now I've watched it, none of them are worth the asking price. The lawr389 ones I linked on eBay are a full piece of leather each side, the stitching is smooth underneath (not roughly glued like the B&J strap) and they're utter bargains. Well worth getting one, or a few in fact at his price...

Re: The Watches Thread
Quite a good review video here looking at three different levels of watch strap and what you get for your money (obviously there will be variation within price points but I think this is quite good as a rough idea). I treated myself to a fairly high quality JPM made strap by Bulang and Sons but tbh ...

Re: 2020 review / 2021 plans
I normally end up writing a book in this thread so going to keep it short this year. 2020 was mostly uneventful thankfully. Had holiday plans cancelled and struggled a bit working from home in a small shared london flat, but thankfully still have a job so can't complain. My main goal for this year i...

Re: Decent car YouTubes
Came on this thread to recomment the Matt Neil / Jason Plato interviews. I'm not really a BTCC follower (tried to get into it around the time Colin Turkington won his first championship) but I watched the individual interviews with them yesterday and the joint interviews today. Two hours well spent!

Re: A Few Thoughts & Observations
Another interesting article. What are your thoughs on the reasons behind the slow sales of the DBX? Do you think it's likely to be because they're slow to ramp up the manufacturing / distribution or because of low demand? To me it seems the most appealing car in its sector, but I'm not in the market...

Re: No F1 thread?
Don’t know if it was mentioned in this thread, but Ben Edwards is leaving c4 at the end of the season. Sad times, I thought him and DC were a great pairing. Don’t think there’s any word on his replacement yet. My shout is that DC will do a Brundle and become lead commentator and Webber will join hi...
