Re: Your fleet running reports
I had a Mercedes mobile mechanic come out and after the second time it happened he fought my case and replaced a sensor. For some reason it wasn’t black and white with just replacing the part. That was 40,000 miles ago and no incidents since. If you have a fault though, go to a dealers and leave the...

Re: Your fleet running reports
LMAO at the security guard(s) At my end the 996 is about to start the mini resto, identifying the squeaky front NS, new discs pads, fluid and lines all round, caliper rebuild and painting, small oil leak investigated- appears to be a hose or a jubilee clip, and to sort a wonky exhaust tip. I will a...

Re: Your fleet running reports
I’m still waiting on the spacers. But they will make the turning circle better so it’s pure functionality 8-) Ahh the spacers, now considering mine can navigate a tight multi-storey car park without hitting the lock stops. I truly believe someone on a forum 20 years ago said they are needed and eve...

Re: Getting upset that cars actually cost money to keep on the road
I just spent £840 on links, nuts, bolts, bushes and arms for the 500e. I still need subframe and brake parts, it’s quite exciting knowing in a week I’ll have lots of lovely bits. Then I fitted new brembo discs and pads to the back of the ML today, feels nice with freshly greased and fitted brakes. I...

It is as dull as they get, it’s the best example I’ve seen about how dull they make very impressive acceleration

Re: Rockingham
I suppose that's true, but one must weigh up whether it's worth one's effort. In this case nobody was really trying to argue with you so the satisfaction is somewhat diminished. Hopefully Dave! will wade in and make it all worthwhile! :D It's still a festering shithole which makes PeterBosnia feel ...

Re: 4 Paw Dog Drive Fleet running report
We ended up cancelling our insurance as it was more to insure the dog than all the cars combined
I argued that as we had his balls popped off he is far less likely to get cancer (Common Rottweiler issue) but they said they didn’t take that into account

Re: RFPs
Hahahahahahahahahaha I laugh in the face of your puny shenanigans. Work permits on an oil rig, it took me an hour to get a hot work permit, extinguisher, fire watchman, all to drill about 10 aluminium rivets out. Next job I used a chisel. Lifting plans, all very pretty and then get thrown aside as s...

Re: Marriage
Well as bad as things get, being alone does give you chance to concentrate on masterbation. My friend split up with his wife of many years last year. Now has a baby on the way but his Mustang engine blew up, so ying and yang. So, using this wise and meaningful logic, you probably have some great wan...

Awful news
Being married can be hard work and just being in love isn’t always enough.
Hope it is a smooth process whatever happens.

Re: Raised bonnet hinges
Unless you know the air pressure under the bonnet though the high pressure area at the base of the screen doesn’t matter. As long as it is a lower pressure than under the bonnet.

Oh and JLIC of course. Norway is such a wonderful country. Perhaps the best. Seriously. And I've been to what feels like most of them! 'til they take your kids off you. I was about to type that this morning but thought "nah! Probably not the place to get into the darker side of Norway" Th...

Re: Raised bonnet hinges
Is this not completely dependant on the car and speed it runs at ? Surely what happens with the air at 100mph is different to 150 ? Also, don't some cars have issues getting air out of the engine bay? I fitted a 300mm X 300mm louvred panel in my 500e under tray and it runs noticeably cooler on B-Roa...

That car is screaming for banded deep dish steels, a red top on 45s for noise and a flashing blue beacon by the rear diff for making burnouts look cool!!

Re: Ladders
At 20 stone I find most ladders a pain. I happily go up them but a better ladder is needed really.
Luckily my friend is a window cleaner and now I just borrow his, no flex, it has a leg for support on the bottom and I could jump up and down on it without it moving.

I mainly drive the Landy where I've removed the passenger seat and made a set up so that Flash can have his bed there. Far fewer idiots contacting you while driving then.
