Re: Another, Another New Car!

They didn't do the 35i in the hatch. Only the 130i. That wpuld be my choice personally but then I'm biased! Cheers. Looking at Autotrader, 125i also have 3L engines :D very confusing for a non-BMW guy  They're £315 band Kin They go pretty well on the road too, esp with near 400bhp 8-) Thanks M...

Like the wheels too.

Mine would have to be a coupe even though a hatchback would be better as a daily. I can’t live with its look.

Are they £500+ to tax or the cheaper rate? 🤔

Re: Another, Another New Car!

Sold as spares or repair! All the rest are £9k+ As I said ...not that one ! Not the one you linked to? A different one? That one was up for 8k asking a few weeks back...so it’s down 2k in a few weeks Obviously has the well known ECU issue but if it gets to 5k and you don’t mind the colour and mods ...

Re: Another new forum car

I bought a brand new Saxo VTR when I was that age it came with 2 years “Free” insurance. Which replaced my 1.6 Zetec Escort. It was a nice metallic blue colour with graphite grey and RS 5 spokes. Looked great. Was mechanicaly fucked. Yeah, a couple of my mates got Saxos because of the free insuranc...

Was just to illustrate they’re not all 9k and not all the 8/9k ones are selling at 8/9k, that’s the asking price That 6k one was 8k a few weeks back It will sell to someone at the right price - most likely a spark who’ll sp...

Re: Another, Another New Car!

Cheapest 135i coupe on AT is £9k. Obviously other selling outlets are available plus it’s a buyer market for stuff like this Lad at work bought one for 5 and a half just before Xmas - it’s running 370/380 now and a second hand BMW PE xorst Eg on EBay there’s one at 6k- you’ll probably get that for ...

Yeah, I guess so - just a race to the bottom now
Coops are down to 5.5k -> 6k now so I’m watching them with interest

Looks nice and shiny 8-)

I wouldn't mind one of these but I'll likely go for the bowler hat rather than the clownshoe as they're cheaper

Re: Posh E30 M3

I'd like to see prices for a turbo engined one plus also the power and weight figures for a n/a one. Alfaholics would appear to move the performance of the old 105 Alfa Junior from a fairly pedestrian classic into something that can lap the Ring in under 8 mins with the GTA 290 for £200k . Similarly...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Just needs your navigator to not fuck it up. Meh. I'm sure I can fuck it up all on my own !! The car should be loads better than last time though. The engine is actually fixed down now and not bouncing off the bonnet, there's a lower x-brace at the front, a substantial welded strut brace / ha...

What were we all driving at that age?

I had a 89 G reg red Mini City automatic
Mk2 RS2000, 2.1 litre Pinto, BVH, 285 cam with twin 44idfs and an E.A.R.S. single box system.

Insurance can be a stinger these days, my eldest is due to start driving in 6 months

You could read it with your lenses or without? With them Why would they be surprised you could read with them? I can read the bottom line of an eye chart with my glasses but I'm blind in one eye! Not the eye chart, the reading card with diminishing font sizes from top to bottom. They said most old ...

I've always had bad eyesight, I'm short-sighted and have an astigmatism in both eyes. My prescription is never particularly stable, but it's not getting massively worse as I get older. The biggest issue I have is speed of focus and it takes a few minutes for my focus to work properly in the morning...
