Re: Decent Recent TV

Ferrari - Race to Immortality On Sky Documentaries - really good documentary focusing on the Scuderia from 55 to 59 when all the drivers died, including Hawthorne and Collins. Brilliant footage and interviews with the key surviving people Side question - the 57 and 58 cars had what appear to be car...

Re: Slow texters

I’m the same as Matty, I’ll reply to that later and never do, I’m not that old though so don’t know what excuse I can use

The one that annoys me more than this is the typing notifications/ 3 blobs- when you see that for ages expecting an essay and it’s just “ok”

Could have revved it to 10,000 rpm though. I know there’s no 10 mark. Make your own. Amateur

Spotted a dc5 integra. Nothing spectacular, except it wasn’t a type-r. Amazed anyone bothered to import a standard spec one

Ford will put their foot down soon enough. They’ve already complained about the time it took for the investigation and how secretive it was. They want a squeaky clean family image, so they may end up with a “he goes or we go” demand

Re: Car insurance

Obviously with changing the car came the need to change the insurance. I pay mine monthly. Twingo was £40 per month. For the focus they want….

£16. Couldn’t believe it, was definitely expecting to be raped and pillaged for changing vehicle mid policy, but apparently not

Re: EV Thread

Eh, not really the same - that has it's own tubular chassis with the R5 body dropped on top. Unless they're homologating it - which they aren't - then it's just a cringey concept with no actual connection to the road car. Look at the shit in the displays, "DANGER; 1UP; U'RE TOO GOOD" Also...

Re: Is car insurance racist?

Correlation does not equal causation

I imagine a bigger factor than the crime and accident data will be something like number of late or none payments of monthly direct debits leading to cancellation of policies. Basically the more ethnic areas being more deprived and having less consistent cash flow

Speaking of white goods - I pulled the tumble dryer apart last night as something was a squeakin'. :? I can't believe you've just insinuated that @jamcg 's wife new car is as exciting as your broken tumble dryer. That's pretty low, Mik. And anyway, what is this? Your Home Appliance Running Reports?...

Re: Insurance (general moaning thread)

I perhaps see a bit more in the line of repair work than most given the industry I work in. You can immediately tell around my area (Teesside) who are having insurance work done, because all the tradesmen are in vans with Sunderland/Newcastle addresses on the side of them (about 30-40 miles away) Yo...

Re: Your fleet running reports

As my wife is struggling more and more with mobility, getting in and out of a tiny little twingo was becoming more difficult by the day. Also living with such a small vehicle as your only car was not always without issue. So to that end it’s been replaced, but as it’s a “white goods” purchase it’s ...
