This is part of why I don't agree with letting cats out tbh.
Hope hazelnut is on the mend Jobbo.

Re: Decent Recent TV
Been watching Lazarus Project
It's alright, I go between thinking it's really good and very bad. I think it's because it feels like Dark filtered through a lens of Marvel movies and Dr Who. So it's clever but there's a layer of mainstream sci-fi goofiness to get through.

Re: The rise of the Right and the European Union
I'm kind of hoping this Wilders news will give people a shake tbh. I can't think of anyone else quite so hateful at the head of a western government.

Re: The rise of the Right and the European Union
Most of the far right politicians in Europe are anti EU too so I wouldn't be surprised to see more brexit style referendums happening.
Between the ancap libertarian in Argentina and Wilder in The Netherlands, it's been quite a week for people voting in headbangers.

Re: GTA 6
Putting aside all the handwringing about wokeness I don't think it's harder to make satire or edgy jokes, it's just the subject matter has changed. Stuff like It's Always Sunny proves that.

Re: Mental Health
I'd agree that there are situations that it's not appropriate to be very emotional but even in situations like folk who burst into tears in work meetings etc it can be a sign that there's more going on with the person. I have a problem with the whole "man up" idea of being strong, as I sai...

Re: Mental Health
I think we'll have to agree to disagree here Dave. When my father was diagnosed with Cancer, we both cried about it together - he's 17 and idolises his grandfather. Then we talked about it, about the prognosis, about how he was a fighter, caught it early, high recovery rate etc. It finished with hi...

If I saw a Primera GT with the purple to green chromaflair paint I’d have it.

Re: Mental Health
Utter rubbish, my kids were balling their eyes out when Flash died, they didn’t need a room full of people crying, they needed someone to comfort them and support them. It doesn’t mean you can’t show emotion, it shows that you can be strong when needed. When my Grandpa died, it was a huge comfort t...

Re: Mental Health
I disagree, I think you do need to man up, be a rock, be the one people go to for support etc but don’t bottle it up. Find a way to release the stress etc. I’d lost mine after selling the bike and no fun car, stopped cycling etc and it all went kaboom in one go. Aslong as you can let it go then you...

Re: Mental Health
we binned off all carbs, veg and sugars Back in the day, we'd have said "Just fucking man up you baby" but everyone knows to look into these things a little more deeply these days... I disagree, I think you do need to man up, be a rock, be the one people go to for support etc but don’t bo...

Re: Mental Health
Do you have anything that you referenced when you decided to switch to the diet?
I'm always curious about restrictive diets.

I agree tbh, it's why I don't give a fuck whenever someone tries to wow me with science and claim my diet is going to give me osteoperosis .
I have pretty much the opposite diet of Dave! and it's been an improvement for me too.

Re: Mental Health
I'm about 6 months into the estimated 18 month wait for an ADHD diagnosis. I've realised over the last few years that my mental health always goes to shit at this time of year. I figure after some thought that it's a combination of bad weather, work and stressful family stuff. Now that I'm aware of...

Re: Mental Health
Diagnosis of these things didn't exist when I was a kid and I'm sure the same is true for you, Gav, since you must be over 40. The thing is, one of my stepsons from my first marriage was diagnosed with Aspergers. He was pretty mild - Nef has met him a few times and would be able to confirm. Other t...

Re: Getting old.
Sprained my right ankle last week, leg went a lovely shave of purple. Last night got horrendous cramp in my right calf and couldn’t stretch it out because my ankle won’t move in the direction needed very well. Love my body  I fell down some steps and went over on my ankle about a month ago. It...
