Commuting to more than 1 site was a big loading for my daughter so probably worth looking into.

Re: First Cars - Insurance
Whilst kids have a provisional and are learning its probably the norm rather than viewed as fronting hence why most insurers cancel the learners cover when they pass. Beyond that point I suspect its as Rich puts it, how much are the insurers trying to mitigate a claim. Going back to Ascenders moan t...

The Sunday round was a killer in the late 80's. Needed 2 bags so had to walk it as not safe on my bike with them criss-crossed over shoulder

Re: First Cars - Insurance
Try a Citroen C1, Skoda Citigo or Seat Mii. Tried the Mii and that came in at 2.8k as well. I started messing with other potential variables, excess, cover level (TPF&T always used to be about 50% cheaper and I figured maybe a £500 snotter for a year on TPF&T cover might be a good idea) dri...

Re: Confessions of a younger driver.....
My mate had a MK1 Jetta and was goaded into hitting a hump back bridge at 50mph
Smashed the sump and none of the doors would open afterwards, it looked like a banana.
He set it on fire there and then!

A manual T circa £100k would be my sweet spot for a new(ish) 911 as a fun car.

Cheapest so far is a classic mini but he hates them and budget fro something decent is way outside of his price range anyway. Quote for him passing at the moment would be about £2000 Tried a...

Re: First Cars - Insurance
My son passed today so paying the £1500 on his birthday 2 months ago with LV will be worth it.
If I had to insure his car now he's passed without telematics would be £3760 for a year.

I mean, there's no point posting twitter threads because without an account, they're unreadable. Any choice screenshots worth posting? On the face of it the LGBT community rises up to battle an oppressive transphobic regime then it takes a turn as it's just a massive brawl between the Thai and Fili...

Fords and Jags seem common for it. Not the end of the world having a new seal fitted.
I assume it's biodegradable rubbers/glue breaking down quicker than the old stuff.

A Dutch onomatopoeic word for stuttering to describe indigenous people with a clicking like language.

I was scoffing at the city boys as well before realising we pay £6,000 for me, my wife and 2 kids for 4 cars. Your time will come Dave lol
Re: EV Thread
It isn't always just about saving money!
In an urban environment you have lack of noise, emissions, road space and ease of parking. In the case of the i3 you can get 4 adults in comfortably in a car that is sub 4m.
That's before CG realises they are genuinely fun to drive.
