Re: Automotive First - Driven - EV

Current Clio is gopping. The Zoe is quite pleasing to my eyes as small superminis go. White definitely better than that metallic maroon though.

Re: Double-sided Tape

3M VHB tape. It usually comes in big rolls or sheets but there are ebay sellers that do smaller pieces for a few quid posted. Sticks ridiculously well but easy enough to cut through the foam layer and peel away if needed.

Re: Automotive First - Driven - EV

Nice. I'm enjoying zipping around town in ours on electric even more than I thought I would - how nice they are to drive for dull everyday driving often gets lost amongst the eco-warrior or penny-pinching running costs stuff. Wouldn't get up at 6am to drive one for fun, but for the everyday commutin...

Re: FAO MTB'ers

Yeah, retrobike, singletrackworld, pinkbike, ebay. I'd probably be inclined to do ebay, start at the absolute minimum you'd take and probably be pleasantly surprised. I'm guessing the Orange C16R, for a brief while they sold the Clockwork under that name (it was the 16th revision/iteration) before g...

343 M135i/M140i on Autotrader.

265 autos, 78 manual - so a 77% / 23% (ish) split.

Manual never appealed to me in the slightest, and the auto was great.

Re: Outdoor speakers

Sonos Play:1 and One are "humidity-resistant" and fine to use in bathrooms, kitchens etc where it gets steamy. I'd think they'll be fine as long as they're not going somewhere they'd get directly rained on - under a canopy would be OK though. Connect:amp (or if you scour ebay, the older ZP...

Family pharma business funds his hobby, even the “factory” is located there. I think the number of cars he’s (had) built is still in single figures.

Re: Hybrid batteries

Seriously this is some dull shit. What’s the point of buying something with (faux) sporty credentials to use it like an electrical appliance? Because most driving is dull shit, and these sorts of cars are very good at that stuff. And if they hasten the death of diesels that can only be a good thing...

Re: What's wrong with yours?

Nothing. Leasing FTW  :D Well, my Car-Net sometimes stops working after it charges (the module apparently goes to sleep) so I can't do pre-heating from the app until the car is started up again. I have to go outside and do it. Apparently VW have an update to fix it as and when I can be bothere...
