In parts of London I don't usually go to today. Saw this Porsche Speedster kit, seems to be one of these. I don't think the windscreen works, but I don't hate the rest of it.
Nice to see an Alpine too.

Guilty 😀 Me too I suppose, but I did just stack the dishwasher without removing my Submariner. ;) https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incoming/article4599350.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/Prince-Harry.jpg Harry doesn't need no Sub - he's an Explorer II military man https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MH5sjFoc6KQ/T1tzRzVmA5...

Re: The Watches Thread
saw something the other day about a Rolex Explorer 2 that was only available to SAS soldiers very cool, but you couldn't really wear one IMO, unless you were an SAS soldier yourself - or had a legitimate connection to one (father/brother etc) or you'd be like those idiots who claim to be SEALs and ...

Can’t post a link as it’s a protected tweet, but I find myself rather very jealous of this! :ugeek: 8-) 8-) 8-) https://i.imgur.com/MvFTIcI.png That's very cool! On the Bel Canto - I knew it was limited but didn't realize it was as few as 300, that's ridiculous! I guess they know they can't ...

Re: The Watches Thread
I'm surprised our resident Christopher Ward aficionado mik hasn't already been posting about the stunning Bel Canto. It kind of has a resemblance of a Bulova Acutron to me, but also has some high end Moser vibes. Probably not the sort of watch I'd wear day to day, but I kind of want one https://yout...

Re: No F1 thread?
End of race organisation awful. How so? If this was a middle of the race incident they wouldn't have red flagged it. I think this was what should have happened in Abu Dhabi last year. It sucks but that's what happens. +1 It's all about consistency. Sure, we all want exciting sports, but referees/um...

Re: The Watches Thread
List price for a new steel Explorer - which is now only sold in 36mm size not that 39mm - is £5700. Which is about £2k more than I reckon is sensible, and probably £3k more than I’d think is the right value. Up to £6k new from the beginning of September. Agree it's about £2k too much, but the Speed...

Re: Where would you live?
Right now I don't think I'd want to live anywhere permanently other than London. Don't want to live here forever, but not sure where I would want to go. I'd love to live by the sea for sure though.
Re: DYELM?
I've ridden rental scooters a couple of times on holiday, including almost a full day of riding one around an island in Croatia last year, but it never really clicked and felt natural to me. I do quite like some motorbikes as objects but don't think I'd ever really want to learn to ride them.

Re: Job poll
Not convinced that I would get £10k out of anywhere locally, My salary seems to be there or there about. Maybe £3k or so below what other places are offering for similar roles. Which was what I was hoping for earlier in the year. Don't go for a similar role go for one a level higher. I don't exactl...
Re: Job poll
If possibly getting £40k in five years time is the only reason to stay, then definitely leave! Get a new job that pays £10k p/a more to make up the money.

I like the Alpine overall https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/314027566058  I would also love to one day own an Alpine. Not sure if it's a London thing, but I've see very few ND MX5s over the last couple of years - though haven't really seen many older ones here either. In Belfast it seemed like MX5s w...

Re: Supercar Definition
And wasn't the Ferrari Daytona a supercar which was front engined? Not to my mind no. I’m struggling to think of a Front Engined car that’s a Supercar Ferrari 599 GTO I struggle with allowing supercar status to a variation of a model that isn't in itself a supercar. Although in this case I think I ...
